I booked 4 nights comped at Harrah's (Friday to Tuesday). I know that there's a 72-hour cancellation notice, otherwise I get charged for unused comps. What if I were to use the first 3 nights and on Monday morning decided to check out and not use the Monday night to Tuesday checkout day, will I be charged a night's stay?

Hey Jon, as long as you check out before normal checkout time (11am), you should be fine. This only applies for comp, if you are paying a rate, that is up to the front desk manager I believe., and also depends on method of booking. Travel websites, for example, have special price contacts with casinos and purchase blocks of rooms they turn around and sell. This also affects comps. I can't touch a room that was booked through expedia, hotwire, etc. Those prices and dates are set in stone.

Long story short, you should be fine, just make sure you check out early.

This may be a YMMV situation, but I have left a night early at Bally's before. It may have actually been 2 nights prior...i went to the front desk at around 7pm on the second to last night of my 5 night comped stay. One of my kids got really sick back at home, so I cut the trip short to help out at home. The front desk never asked for a reason...I just simply stated I needed to checkout early. They did not charge me for the unused comped nights.

if ur booked on a offer with a minium like a tourney u have to take the minium nites , but as others have said if not and its just a strait comp out , they are pretty cool about letting you out.
they have descretion ive gootten the vegas flu to many times , they would rather have me home resting up and comeback well.

you should be fine if its a true comp out and that goes for most if not all vegas hotels if they do the right thing

If you scroll down through the posts, you will see this happens often.

Booking a room, and STAYING in the room are two different things.

You can just leave when you want to leave. If a day or two early, just leave the DoNotDisturb sign on the door and LEAVE.

    No big deal.

Nostresshere is right. I just leave the keys by the tv and leave. They don't even know I have left until the next day
