I usually wear clothing that goes well with sneakers, but have bought a couple new outfits for my trip in May and sneakers aren't exactly appropriate.

I'd like a comfortable sandal that would work with casual outfits and can carry over to a nicer evening outfit. I love the look of naughty monkey sandals, but hesitate to spend the money on a shoe that I can't walk miles per day in.

Do any of my fellow lady Vegas goers have suggestions for my wide feet to look cute while remaining comfortable even after hours of walking?

I like Fit Flops. A very comfy sandel, wide, kinda like a wedge (they're not flat), you can get them in solid colors and also with sparkly beads. Google it.

I was gonna suggest she consult with breeze as he is our resident expert on open-toed footwear and the advantages thereof.

    You guys are so bad!

I don't know about "cute" as I find most cute shoes really hurt my feet after a mile or two. I have these lavender sparkly sandals that I love, but they are only for walking to the pool, day drinking and stumbling back to the room. I don't ever do the Strip Crawl in them. If I'm going to be doing any walking in sandals, I love Tevas. They have some that don't look quite so hiker-like. But for the big hikes, I always wear my tennies.

I asked Terri, who is to shoes as I am to golf.

    She said, "Nordstrom."

When I asked for perhaps some specificity she said, "It's Nordstrom, many many pairs will be bought. Something will work."

After 20 years I can only say that is one truthful statement.

I will say I won't be waring the sandals in the airport, as I always wear sneakers with socks, so at least my bare feet aren't in direct contact with the carpet. If it wasn't a safety issue to me, I'd wear flip flops and flaunt my black bottom soles all over the airplane (j/k), but in the instance of an emergency, I don't want to run out of a flip flop or sandals, so I'll stick with the sneakers.

I work in a hospital, which are known to be some of the dirtiest places on the planet, so barefoot on airport floors really doesn't seem so bad to me.

Worse than the bare feet was the lady that decided to trim and file her nails and leave the clippings in the airplane floor...

I like aerosols strappy heels for casino walking inside. For longer walks, I'll go more relaxed, but still want "cute." Sketchers has a memory foam line of strappy wedge heels, not too high, (and no crazy platform action going on) and SUPER comfy. Look up "Sketchers memory foam sandal" or "Sketchers rumblers" or "Sketchers social butterfly".They have about a 2 inch wedge heel, but it's rubber, with memory foam on top, so it's like walking on pillows, but still cute enough to wear with maxi dresses etc.

Also, they look like a thong sandal (which I hate, they hurt on sandals), but it's a strap on both side of the big toe, so no "sandal thong" ache.

I always bring a pair for if we go on a really long walk, as they're comfy yet not utilitarian looking! Good luck!

i don't wear sandals much, but when i do I wear Birkenstocks (or the knock-offs) they are easy on the feet, and adjustable.

Not sandals but Skechers makes some cute relaxed fit slip ons -glittery and sparkly too and they have memory foam. 6pm.com has a good selection of Skechers. Also Dansko sandals are very comfy.
