The 3-4 cruises are often on the older ships in the fleet. Tell us which one.

    Which hotel in Vegas?

Done both, many times, but would lean towards Vegas. Extra charges on ship will add up. Gambling onboard sucks compared to Vegas.

Have you actually been offered one or the other?

If it's through a timeshare outfit that sent you a postcard or called you on the phone ,I personally would'nt take either because of the sales crap involved.
If it's from the casino based on your play that's a different story,I'd start by looking at which cruise ship and where its going and then see what hotel in Vegas .
Just watch what who you get involved with and read the fine print, sorry if I sound like a negative old guy,but I've been around a while and have seen how some of these people operate.

I'd do the cruise, especially if you've done Vegas a lot.:peace::beer:

It's a no brainer for me - Vegas.

I don't care to be trapped on a large boat. Also hearing about friends $1200 drinks charge afterwards kills it.

With everything that's been happening in the cruise industry (including the luxury cruises) , you'd have to pay me a lot to get me on a cruise. So, Vegas it is!

Been to Vegas a few times, never done a cruise, so cruise is a no-brainer. However, I'm not sure cruising would be my thing and as pointed out in other posts, from what I know of those short cruises, I don't know that deadheading around San Diego and Ensenada and maybe Catalina really fires my rocket. If I could pick a cruise, that's another story.

But the bottom line really is Vegas is gonna win out when a question like this is posed on a Vegas-loving site.

I love cruises but I wouldn't go on a cruise for only 3 or 4 nights. You're hardly getting used to your bearings and it's time to get off.

Cruise for me please! Like some of the others, I've still never done a cruise and really think we'd really like it.

I have done 5 seven night cruises and 1 four night cruise,
If your trip is 3/4 days I would do Vegas.
To get the full cruise experience one week is the best.
I really enjoy cruises but the first day hassles make a short cruise less enjoyable.
Customs, immigration, waiting for boarding, waiting for luggage, lifeboat drills etc. eat up some of the first day.
IMO cruising is something everyone should try at least once despite the issues over the last couple years.

my wife and I usually get to vegas 2x a year, and get on a couple cruises a year as well.

if it's 3 or 4 nights, Vegas. However if it was a choice for 7 nights, it would be a cruise. After 4 days in Vegas I can get burnt out. That doesn't happen to me on cruises. Also, the 7 night cruises are usually on the newer/cleaner ships compared to the 3 to 4 night cruises. Also, my main game is poker, and I usually do pretty well on cruise ships because the players are so bad versus vegas.
