The old Barbary Coast Bill's Gambling Hall has a lot of work to be done on it. This is how it looked last week.

It may end up being the coolest place on the strip but I'l always miss the Barbary Coast.

Cool! Going July 21 - 26. Any word on the pool as far as if it is a day club, or just for guest or if you can pay to get in like at the Flamingo?

They have sent Platinum and Diamon card holders at least three free nights during the 4/20-5/21 pre/soft open when the casino and hotel will be operating (at least on a limited basis). Would prefer to stay there without the clubs and pools (mainly due to the noise factor), but I will not be able to get out to Vegas until the following month.

This casino will remain on my "to stay" checklist for a decent amount of years (I won't pay Nobu $200 / mid week night rates).

God only knows what kind of crappy CET paytables and table rules they will roll out.

No word on when Big Elvis will return to the main stage @ [STRIKE]Barbary Coast[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Bill's Gambling Hall[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Gigglesnort Hotel[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Pottersville[/STRIKE] The Cromwell.

    Hmmmm...

Considering the recent shooting at Drai's across the street, you'd think that they'd name it "Wet & Wild."

I probably won't play here though, as the VP paytables will suck most likely

Oh yeah---My guess is that CET will set a new low in terms of game playability--this will not be a place to play VP or blackjack. There may be pay tables never before seen in a Nevada casino, and there are some pretty awful ones already.

    Soft opening April 21

It's been reported as having a soft opening on April 21. I just left Vegas this afternoon and to me I can't imagine it opening anywhere close to this date. 6 more months sure but not in 2 months. Soooo much needs to be done, its a mess right now. Just my humble opinion.

I walked by it a few times in the last week. To be honest it looks about the same as it did last July. Will be quite the miracle to get that place open in less than 2 months.

You can follow the progress of The Cromwell live on the Caesars Linq webcam. Just zoom in the entire property located at the bottom of the screen.
From what i am seeing on the webcam, it has come a long way, but i doubt there will be any soft opening in April or even May.
Maybe late June or early July is more realistic.
