    My Trip Report

As a birthday and christmas gift my husband treated us to vegas for the longest both have been. It started off crazy and just kept going that way.
    First day Dec 20th
At dtw (detroit) flying delta. I get thru security and was waiting for the husband. ( he had our laptop and tablet). So he was behind me. i went for the escalator...i had my hands full. I had my carryon luggage, my large coat, my purse, and a small bottle so i can fill it. me being myself i started to fall down, so i sat myself down really fast. The woman behind me starting to scream hit the emergency stop button. I jumped up really fast and i was like i am ok i am ok. My husband just shakes his head. the guy in front of me pick up my bottle for me and hand it back to me. My butt hurt little and wrist but more my pride was hurt more then anything else. We were sitting at the gate and i have my osgood jersey (anytime i have to do something like this) i always wear as my good luck charm. Delta flight was great!.... they had tv on back of the seat so we can watch lets make a deal and cnn. The tv really made it go by alot faster. I am use to flying with spirit. SO i am not use to having the tv and snacks and pop for free. the cookies on delta is to die for!...
We get to vegas go to the car rental. We order a small car alot easier for me to drive because i drive a small car. They kept trying to upgrade me to a bigger car because of my birthday i was no i want the small car. they put us in middle size car. it was nice car i like the xm radio...since i am use to it in my car. So we go to check in at flamingo. We get early check in ( about 11am now their time). We get into the room. Nothing special. We go downstairs while we are in the elevator the first fire alarm goes off. Me being ms panic person...and my husband who is very lay back like it is nothing to be worry about. My husband goes to the sports book.we loved the tellers there... jo, joseph, and john are super nice. every day when we went in there they would greet us.
We gambled for 12 hours. My husband between the sports book and slots was down hundred and i was even. Earlier i had the extra hundred but i gave it back. We stop at harrahs for few. The cocktail service was horrible. I waited for almost an hour for my drink ( tequila sunrise). I was getting ready to leave she fiinally found me and says to me i forgot where you were.. first meal was at the quad burger palace. buy one burger get one free. it was ok ...nothing impressive. The quad didnt look anything different from ip ...

I hope your trip got better cdukes. You mentioned first fire drill??!!

We stayed at the Fitz in Reno once where the fire alarm went off at least 3 times one night. It gets really hard to find the energy to evacuate after 3 times but ya gotta do it. We were pretty grouchy in the morning.

So how was the rest of your trip?

    2nd day
We woke up when to ellis island. The steak and eggs is to die for!... then we wander over to mirage and ti. My husband went on a heater playing horses. I was playing big diamonds sex in city at the mirage. i was playing two dollars. i had the spinner and land on mr big. Since i was playing two dollars he was behind two of them ( 600 dollar for him).... i let my husband choose... no mr big for me i only got 40 dollars instead. It was a huge disappointment. We end up eating at the food court at the flamingo. I had chinese and husband had pizza. That day we gamble at flamingo, ellis, mirage and ti. Was down only 200 at that point. When we first went down to go breakfast another fire alarm went off... ( you will see a pattern soon enough)

    3rd day
We went downstairs for breakfast at mcdonalds near harrahs and casino royale. We were there was a bum asking for breakfast and another one didnt have anything below the belt on... and it was cold that day!!! Husband start to lose on the horses that day so he told me to go play and got back to only down 200 dollars again. When we stop by the room during middle of the day we heard something again ..... the fire alarm again! off to dinner at ellis island. The bird at the valet at flamingo was on vacation. almost ran into someone while walking out and said thank you tim for holding the door. I look at my husband strange and hand on my hip like how did she know your name...it was the teller at the sports book jo. I said hello to her. When my husband was downstairs playing horses i went up to the room for a little cat nap. The people across the hall was sooooo loud and banging on the door. I finally open the door and look around and shut it... low and behold they stole my do not disturb sign. Son of guns! finally they left and i had my cat nap i went down stairs and before i went back upstairs i had to request for the sign again.
    more to come
