Heading to Vegas in a few weeks. Nothing gets my juices going better than a lively game of craps. I prefer low minimums, but want a "fun" full table to play on. We play at all times during the day, but the majority of our play usually falls after 8pm at night. We will be there Friday night thru Monday Morning.

Keeping this in mind, where is YOUR favorite place to play? Strip, Downtown, Off Strip are all viable options. Thanks for your reponses!

I seem to win at Harrah's more than other places.

I think what we look for in a craps table might be different, but based on your description, I would recommend you play at either Excalibur or PHo. Craps games at both properties tend to skew younger and, thus, more energy at the table (Excalibur because you have younger people staying in vegas on a budget and PHo because everything skews younger there). The low table minimums means the tables should be full on those evenings. And each place has unique circumstances that add to the crpas energy a bit (Excalibur usually has a table near the front, so it brings in a lot of action and PHo has all the scantily clad dealers dancing around the tables on weekend evenings).

Playing at MSS and The Cal with the older Hawaiian Gents is amusing.

Table with most 'interesting' characters I've played on is the El Cortez.

I've had good luck at Paris and Bally's. Not so much at Pho. I've also played and won at MSS. As far as a lively table you could get that anywhere.. I also used to win quite a bit at IP (Now Quad)

I've had the most fun and the best luck downtown. Golden Gate, The D, and last January at the Golden Nugget on a rare $5 minimum table on a Sunday evening. The Nugget was probably the most fun, but when you catch on with a hot roller and they help you more than triple your buy-in, that might tend to skew one's opinion.

Impossible to know exactly when a table will get lively, but I like Bellagio, Cosmo and Hard Rock because the tables are in lively areas (ie good atmosphere nearby if not at the table itself). Bellagio and Cosmo have good dealers and drink service too, imo.

$10 minimums are rare Fri/Sat evenings but you can find them.

    Binons

For me it's Binons with the cowboy girl dealers for obvious reasons. After that I would say MSS, California, and the D in that order.

    Craps

If you are in the area...try The Orleans casino...lots of action, esp. when the Hawaiian are playing...they are heavy bettors...I've never seen so many players parlaying their hardway wins...the tables have a couple of interesting "side" bets that I haven't seen elsewhere....a Repeat bet (I believe you win (70x your repeat bet) if the same point is hit at least 3x) and a "Place" hardway bet (this bet stays up on an easy way roll...but only pays 5/1 for a hardway)...beware, the downside to the casino is, it is smokie...

I always had the dealers at Tropicana provide a fun friendly game. Don't always win but I have never encountered cranky or surly dealers there. :peace:

I have had great fun at lively $10 tables at Mirage, Bellagio, Ceasars, and MGM.

I usually have to wander that part of the strip looking for the right table though.

Golden Gate, LVC if downtown. Awesome staff and fast CWs. I like Caesars and Belliago if on the Strip. Little higher table minimums but good experience this last October. Could have been the fact a guy rolled for 52 minutes at Caesers. Turned around 3k loss for trip

I like to play where the tables are empty.
    Usually Paris in the morning.
Also like to play at PH but those tables are usually full 24x7.

When staying at NYNY I really liked Craps there due to the Hi/Low side bet.

Most fun I've had playing craps in years was at the El Cortez a few trips back.
But then, I'm 'old' and I really like downtown...(oh, and I smoke, so the El Co doesn't bother me at all!)

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!
