Ok 5.00table. I put 5 on the pass line. Then after pass is done. I put. 5. On come line. After that number is decided somtimes ii. Bet another come bet. Or i put a bet on number 9 or if the roller is hitting alot of another number ill bet on that

But i dont remeber. How much to backup on bets. I think it depends on what number it is???

Can someone explain this to me. Simply. Like if i put 5 on come bet and its a 6. How much backup. 5? 6? 10?

Best way for the best odds
Hope someone can understand what im asking here

The only thing you need to make sure of is if the point is 5 or 9 to make your odds bet an even amount, and if it is a 6 or 8 make the odds in increments of 5. 4&10 pay 2 to 1 on odds, 5&9 pay 3 to 2, and 6&8 pay 6 to 5.

Only two things to remember, the maximum odds at most casinos on craps is 3x4x5x. This means that on a $5 PL or come bet you can only put up $15 on the 4 & 10, $20 on the 5 & 9, and $25 on the 6 &8. You can bet less than that if you want but that's the most. If you bet less than that on the 5 &9 just make sure it's an even number so you maximize your payout.

Fun fact, if you take max odds on your PL bet on a 3x4x5x table, your payout on the odds will always be the same amount ($30 for a $5 PL)

I would preface stackinchips by saying that you should take note of the odds allowed on the table. while many strip tables allow 3x4x5x there are other tables that allow different odds you can play with so check first before you make your odds bet, esp if you are making more than 1x odds.

ajp said most of the important things. 4 & 10 you can bet any amount (over $5) since you get paid double your bet if hit. 6 or 8 you always bet in increments of $5 and 5 and 9 you bet with an even amount since you get paid $3 for every $2 you bet.

also remember, you can lose your come bet if the shooter throws a 7 on the come out roll (you get your odds bet back though). I saw some players try to put down come bets on everything because you get higher odds when you win (versus place bets) but they lose the come bets when a 7 is thrown and they have to redo the come bets all over again. I usually place the 6 and 8 and make one come bet or two depending on how well the shooter is doing.

    When placing numbers just the 6 & 8 are in $6 increments. The 4,5, 9 & 10 can be $5.
Also for odds the 4,6,8 & 10 can be $5 increments (see above post for exactly how much) the 5 & 9 need to be an even amount.
I recall when first learning someone mentioned to remember both five and nine end with 'e' for even so you can remember the odds have to be an even amount.

On a $5 table, always take $10 odds (Back up your bet)
    easy to remember.
