It's been a strange storm. Rain, sleet, snow, back to freezing rain and now it's snowing again. All the tree limbs are covered in ice. I was sitting in my office this morning, heard a loud crack and looked up in time to see a giant limb dropping from my neighbor's willow tree.

Now the power is out for the second time today. This morning is was 1.5 hours and now this afternoon it's going on another hour. We bought an existing home and the previous owner had installed a Generac 18kw generator, so it is kind of neat to sit here while everybody in the neighborhood is without power, but I don't understand the thinking behind what they hooked up to some of the things on the generator.

Both garage door openers, the two kids bedrooms and two outlets in the kitchen, but not the microwave outlet. Nothing in the bathrooms or master bedroom. But, thankfully the refrigerator and sump pump are connected.

It must be a major outage because everybody in the neighborhood has underground electric service. No overhead wires.

3-5 inches expected tonight on top of the layer of ice. That will make driving fun! Spring my ass!:nono:

Wow. I live in the Northeast and it's shorts and t-shirt weather. Sorry to hear about your Winter maladies. Soon to be over. Very soon.

Nothing for me to say, Joe. Other than I'm sorry.

Oh, and we're going to tee it up here in a bit.

We had freezing rain this morning. Thankfully roads are good now as I just drove an hour to see Garth Brooks tonight. Wicked foggy though. Should be fun driving home in the fog and darkness after the concert.

That sounds rough. Shorts and a tee shirt for me today.

We had about 8 inches of snow last night and this morning. No ice or sleet, but some nasty weather. Typical Wisconsin weather.
