Was originally booked for July 12-20 at Flamingo (5nts comped). While checking out rates on CET rate calendar page, lo and behold, CP shown as comped 5 nts! Take that in a heartbeat! BAM! Chnaged reservation, and actually got an email deal from Mirage same day so booked our 3 other nts there. Trip is looking up already! :)

My question comes about regarding the CP Forum Tower Deluxe King room. At time of booking I double checked that all my TR preferences were correct in acct, yet the Forum Tower room the system reserved for me is a Non-smoking, which, am sorry to say, just will not do as wife and I both smoke. There appeared to be no way to choose a Forum smoking room. Am wondering if perhaps Forum Tower is ALL Non-Smoking? Anybody know? Last year on our first comped stay at CP, we were given a room in Augustus Tower which was simply fantastic, and was a smoking room. Loved the easy access and short walk to Aug tower elevator and was very nice to get to pool w/o schlepping thru entire casino. As will be celebrating our 21st anniversary am hoping to be upgraded again to AUG tower, though would be perfectly happy in forum tower if can secure a smoking room. Any specific perks I may wish to ask for?

Am SO looking forward to a much needed vacation! Thank you all for sharing all of your knowledge and insights on this board! T-12 days! Whoo Hoo!!

I'd say just tip um $20 at the front desk and ask for the best smoking suite they got!

I made a Caesars reservation over the phone and asked for smoking as a preference and when I looked on line, it said non-smoking. I called a day or two later to correct that and one other minor detail and when I checked again, the other detail was fixed, but not the smoking preference. Who knows why.

I haven't stayed at Caesars before but I'm not really worried about it. I know there's at least one smoking floor in the Augustus tower where my reservation is, and I'd imagine the Forum tower has at least one smoking floor if not two.

Non-smoking rooms are more in demand. I've seen many accounts of people not being able to get a non-smoking room, but I can't remember anybody ever not being able to get a smoking room. Just make sure you mention it when you check in.

Also, the smoking vs. non-smoking designation is at the hotel's discretion. If they say there's no rooms on a smoking floor, ask if you can smoke in whatever room you end up in. They may say yes. Ask them to have housekeeping deliver a couple of ashtrays to your room - that's a little proof they said it was OK.

    Thanks Porstaker- great advice! :)

Chuck- that actually happened to us a few years ago when stayed at Ballys. Got out of elevator in N Tower, and noticed lot of non smoking signs on rooms. We got to our room at end of hallway and were delighted to see our room had been upgraded to a very nice suite (jacuzzi tub in center of room) due to a long story having to do with a jack ass cutting in just as we approached the check-in clerk... real peach of a guy and front desk clerk was obviously irritated with this idiots "demands". In any case were were loving the room until we realized was a non smoking room. Dammit! Called desk and they assured us it would be ok to smoke in there and actually had housekeeping bring us a bunch of ashtrays. Were still a bit unsure and uncomfortable so called the desk again to be CERTAIN they realized it was labeled a NS room. Again he assured us it was cool and no problem at all. Wished us well, said enjoy the room, and have a pleasant stay! We appreciated it a ton and I made a point to return to desk and thank clerk personally and a leave him with a handsome tip. Was cool to see that he was really surprised to see us again and was very appreciative of tip. We just figured it's all about the Karma! (BTW, this was one of very few winning trips!) Cheers!

I've stayed in the Forum tower several times and had smoking rooms each time. If they have changed, it was recently, but I doubt it.
