I won a free weekend trip to Vegas from my radio station and they completely booked everything, flights, hotels, and concert tickets. I am thrilled about the free trip to my happy place, but in the past we have gotten great rooms on the strip because we like a nice hotel when getting away from our 3 kids ( It doesn't happen very often.) I am struggling with wanting to pay for a room on the strip versus just learning to love off-strip. Has anyone stayed at this hotel that can help me see the perks of staying off strip?

Your not far from the strip cab rides won't be much from there. I do understand it's not the same as being right on the strip but I bet it's a nice place. Much quieter totally different vibe. I would save the money and use it for a nicer meal or show but that's just me.

    Congratulations on winning the trip.

I haven't stayed there, but my parents have. They love Courtyard. My mom liked the break from the action of The Strip. My dad loves the comfortable beds.

The location isn't bad. It's a couple long blocks from Wynn and Encore so cab fare won't be bad. I wouldn't walk it myself, but it's certainly doable if you're inclined that way.

I guess the biggest detractor is that you can't just go downstairs and gamble. The question may be, "How much of a degenerate are you?" :wink2:

Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for. It doesn't look too far on the map, and I would much rather spend my money on something else seeing as this room is free. I guess I was just looking for someone to confirm that it really wasn't too far. (That's what I get for reading trip advisor reviews).
