We are counting down the days until we are in Vegas for our honeymoon!! What should we get in to at night? Where are the best places to party/have fun?

What do you want to do? Do you want to hit a big time club that's basically an EDM concert? Do you want a bar with a live band? Do you want a dueling piano bar?

Also where you're staying at matters too. You wouldn't want to plan on hitting a bar on the opposite end of the strip.

First night... EXPLORE!!! i remember my first night, i got trashed just by walking through all of the different Casinos and finding bars to get a drink/shot from. I would take in the whole scene and just play it by ear. When you find a spot that's comfortable, stick around and just have a great time.

I'm sure someone will refer you to jackcolton.com. That site is OK, but in my opinion it's really geared more towards people who party in Vegas a lot who are willing to drop a bunch of money on bottle service/tables. I'll give you a quick(ish) breakdown of my research before my last trip and what I experienced.

    Non-clubs:
    Carnaval Court

It can get a little trashy at night, but I thought this place was a blast. They have live music most of the day and a DJ at night. There's flare bartenders that do the crazy bar tricks. A little older crowd than the clubs, but still a decent time.

    Bar at Times Square
This is a dueling piano bar and I had a great time here. Everyone was singing along to the songs and the guys are really talented. They don't just do typical piano bar songs. They play all different types of music. I could see this place not being as good if the crowd isn't into it though. You can look in and see/hear how it is before you go in so don't commit to a cover before checking it out.

    PBR Rockbar
I had read good things about this place, but it was really trashy when I was there and not very crowded. It did seem to be a good size and a decent setup though, so it's probably one of those things that depends on the crowd.

    Multiple bars at Cosmopolitan
Cosmopolitan feels like one gigantic club. There's multiple bars that weren't clubs, but had music going and people having a good time. Chandelier Bar in the middle of the casino is really cool.

    Clubs I went to:
    Hakkasan (MGM)

We went on a Thursday night for a club crawl. It's a massive super club and it's basically an EDM concert in the main room. They have a hip hop room that feels like it's a different club.

    Drai's (Cromwell)
We also went here on a Thursday as part of the club crawl we went on. I've read that the crowd can be a little rough there, but this was my favorite place we went to. Thursdays they usually have DJ Esco who makes the beats for Future and a few other rappers. This place is also huge and on the rooftop of the Cromwell. This place also feels like a concert more than a typical club. On Fridays and Saturdays they have big name rap and hip-hop artists like Nelly, TI, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, etc. Apparently these weekend concerts are really when the crowd gets rough, but I don't think it would be that bad personally.

    The Bank (Bellagio)
This was the last stop on our club crawl. This place was empty compared to other places and nothing special. Basically your typical club you'd see anywhere. I've read this isn't even the best club at Bellagio, so I wouldn't recommend this place at all unless it's part of a crawl.

    1Oak (Mirage)
We were staying at the Mirage, so we decided to check this place out on a Friday night. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Clubs I didn't go to, but want to:
    Marquee (Cosmopolitan)

I was a big fan of the party atmosphere at Cosmo, and this place is the crown jewel of nightlife there. It's one of the mega clubs

    XS (Encore)
The Wynn/Encore complex is beautiful and XS is their biggest club. It's probably pricey, but they usually have big name DJ's.

    Omnia (Caesars Palace)
Calvin Harris was playing the Friday night when we were there and prices were ridiculous. It's supposed to be one of the best clubs in town though.

I'd highly recommend doing a crawl. We were told that crawls were dumb, but we had a blast on ours. You meet some cool people and get to bounce around from place to place. We did Sin City Club Crawl and they were pretty good. Whoever you do, I'd call the week of and see what the club lineups are like so you can choose the best crawl and the best night.
