I posted the groupon offer, but it sold out in one day. I'll post the deals when I get them.

I saw a pic somewhere of it...looked pretty neat.
I wouldn't go skating, but I'd like to check it out...
after ZZ TOP, then to Gortorium again, then across
the street to COSMO for a couple slices of pizza from
the 3d floor (not so secret) Secret Pizza Joint and THEN...
outside to check out the ice rink.

Anyone know how this works? Are they freezing the water in the pool itself? If so, how are they doing that?

If anyone has done it, is it as crowded as it is here?

Cool idea but it does seem too small and crowded if that picture on the Fox 5 site is any indication of how it typically is.

My wife and I did the skating thing at The Venetian last year which wasn't on ice but a hard plastic surface that kinda sorta functions like ice. The rink wasn't huge but there also wasn't many people on it (maybe 10 tops when we were there) so you could actually "skate" around. You had a time limit (something like 30 or 60 minute slots).

I read it's ice, unlike the fake ice at Venetian...
The pic I saw had old barrel fires setting around and looked
kinda cozy but...none of these ice rinks are very large.
It's just to set the mood, offer something a little festive and
enjoy it for what it is.
