Along with more cost cutting, VIP check in lost the free water, coffee, tea and fruit.

Boy... of all the cost cutting and containment that could be accomplished at a property that size, that's really picking nits!

Cutting of water and fruit? Wow those cost so little. Cutting booze is one thing but water and fruit? Geez.

You'd be surprised by how much they can save by doing this. Of course it sucks but I guess they figured it was a minor change that will save them a good chunk of money.

I went there the last weekend of December. 27/28/29

right as you enter, to the left hand side there use to be a table with stuff on it. Now, nothing there, just a stack of news papers where the water/coffee/fruit use to be.

I asked the reception and they said it was illegal to serve food and beverage.
I didn't press further. I don't think it will be back.

maybe it was the apple and the stack of cups and tea bags I took that bankrupted them. Then again my loss that trip could have covered those supplies for a year lol.

OMG...no free coffee or tea....guess you need to be even more than a VIP.
How wrong for you not get that service at the most expensive properties on the strip! No wonder why people pay less and don't expect royal service. Even some high rollers are not getting what they want/expect....Welcome to the New Las Vegas!

Hee hee on the happy endings :evillaugh ...and I guess a low roller like me can't complain about that VIP perk if I am getting comped rooms (sans the resort fee, of course ><) :ssst:

Same here. Staying in a comped room for 2 nights and paying for the rest. Wish I could use the VIP check in. I'm lowly Identity Gold due to status match from MGM. Looks like I'll be there the same days as you.

Whatever cost cutting they are doing, does not seem to impact the draw they ae generating. The casino floor and all the lounges and bars were jammed packed last night. Their new "girly" pit was packed full of players...all 6:5 BJ. CES attendees definitely gambke at this prop...at least it seemed that way.

Bleh. That's annoying. Guess I'm happy to be a HL room player, but I still like goofing off on the floor every once in a while.

There's no 3:2 on the floor at all? I'm ok with s17 if it pay 3:2. HL blackjack is still a bit much for me. Would rather slow play a 10 or $25 table at this point.

3/2 8 deck is fine with me. I havent played a lot of blackjack in my day so I want to log some hours before I pony up black chips.
