    Hi all!

Heading to Vegas on late November. Staying the first week as usual at the Aria Sky Suites and then switching to Cosmo for the first time.

I really like the opportunity to grab me a water or soft drink before going to the room at the SkySuites Lounge.

I was told that there is a platinum lounge at cosmo... but the only things I was able to found out is that it is located at 16th floor of the west tower and that isn't as good as it had been where the high limit area is now.

Does someone know something more about it? What do they offer? Is it possible to take a drink to my room?

    Thanx!

I wouldn't bother. I am a Platinum MLife member and got the Platinum Cosmo card because they matched card status. I wish I could tell you what it was like, but....

Back in May, I tried to use their Identity Lounge, curious to see how it would stack up to the Sky Suite lounge. There was no signage anywhere - it was difficult to find, and the elevators were jam packed because a few conventions were going on in the hotel. I finally managed to get up to the 16th floor after letting several packed elevators go by, and NO ONE on 16 knew where the lounge was!!! I asked maids -they had no idea. A bellman - clueless. The floor looks like any other floor in the place and the lounge is not clearly marked. I finally figured out where it was but guess what? They had rented it out to these conventioneers and it was unavailable for the length of my 10 day stay! (luckily I was staying at Aria). I only found this out because I called the front desk to ask what was going on. They gave a lame apology but nothing more. There should at least be a sign somewhere near the elevators letting guests know the lounge is unavailable!

I was in Vegas again for the first two weeks of July in the Aria Sky Suites and decided to take another stab at the Cosmo identity lounge. This time, I went up and rang the bell - someone answered and told me to come back - that the lounge does not even open until late in the afternoon!! That was the last straw. I am done. I am fed up with the runaround and will not be going back to it again. I will stick to the Aria Sky Suite lounge, which I love.

Alternative suggestion: go to the Talon room on the second floor and grab a drink from the bar on the way up to your room. Talon room is the high limit gaming area on the second floor. Its open to the public, has a nice bar almost nobody is ever at, and its right next to the elevators as you head up to your room (if you're in the tower closer to the Strip)

Do you know if they still offer the Platinum Mlife card matching?

as UK said, the Talon room is the place to be.

The Platinum lounge is a joke. Its an unmarked room that
took me 30 minutes to find the first and last time I went.
Not worth the walk. Really lame.

It couldn't hurt to give it a try...I have not heard that they stopped doing it so chances are good that they will match your card status.

Cosmo does not get it. When they had the original lounge, it was a joke. Then then made it worse. Nobody knows where it is. Service sucks.

This CET Diamond and MGM Noir will take my play elsewhere. Idiots.

I just hope you can get some sleep over there.... The Cosmo hater club says it's pretty darn noisy!

Its basically a suite sized room turned into a lounge. I pass by at least once every couple months I'm in Vegas. Never had a problem getting up there or getting drinks.

Theres a small bar area and some couches. There were only half a dozen people in there. If there was a dozen, it would start to seem full especially if everyone is in their own group.

The bartenders are usually cool. We would grab a couple drinks. Down that pretty quick and order more to triple fist on the way back down before we walk into Marquee.

Dont expect much. Its not like a penthouse suite size place. But someplace to grab a few drinks and go back down to the main floor.

When I was there in June, they matched my Mlife platinum status to identity platinum.

Does anyone know the room no. if it got one?

The thing I realy love about the SkySuite Lounge is to have a bottle of coke or S. Pellegrino for the night and no need to get it from a CVS or Walmart before and of course not to pay $$$ for the mini bar miniatures! ;)

Is that available at the lounge or Talon room?

@smartone: Got a Terrace One Bedroom - Premium View. Could that be one of the noisy ones? Maybe a need some other drinks than just coke! :drunk:

why dont you at least post your expereince with the platinum lounge and with the cosmo hotel. you keep complaining about what people who stay there have to say about there experiences but you never write about your experience. i learned good info from this thread except from your post because im platinum also and never hear anything about the lounge. you can be helpful and add your own personal expereinces and opinions but your posts are always unhelpful just complaining about any one with an opinion and making fun of them. you can go to the hotel websites if you only want to read there side or join trip advisor to be mean :nono:

    It has pluses & minuses

the lounge is a littlt difficult to locate.

The lounge is a little difficult to locate. Its located in the West Tower, I cann't remember the floor... something teen. The lounge is a converted room
(shower in the uni-sex bathroom) with snacks (chips and dip) ,soft drinks, wine (limited selection) and an adequate supply of liquor brands (unless you seek something special). A bartender is onhand to provide your beverage selection. One mid-size HDTV. Very quite, nice for a quiet moment. I think they wiould allow you to take a drink out of the lounge (although it may be against policy). The vibe is so relaxed its almost dead. I was there an hour or so to read the paper. Total guests during my late afternoon visit were 3 (including myself).

16th floor, just to the left when you walk past elevator.
I've always been allowed to leave with drinks. Even stopped this weekend just to get drinks for myself and friends and left immediately.

    Check-in

If you are Platinum member, you can get water from the area where you check-in. VIP room is left side of the front desk.

I tried the VIP room once and door was locked.
