Hi - does anyone know if this hotel's Wrap Around Suite goes lower than $408 average nightly for a Monday thru Friday stay over? Dates will be Jan 28-Feb 2 2013 - trying to make a decision.

Also - does anyone have any experience booking with Expedia in terms of room rate guarantee, cancellations, ? Are they easy to deal with?

If booked now do I have to pay now or not until before the trip?

    Thanks guys

I've never booked through expedia but lots of time through booking. Com. Same thing. Sometimes you can cancel for free other times you can't. No cancellation means cheaper price often. I just booked a hotel in south Africa for December and this was the first time I saw they charged half the hotel costs to my credit card in advance. I can still cancel for free until end November though.
Something else, do you know if you can fully get comped if you book through expedia or any other booking s site? I thought I heard you can better book straight on the hotel site...

hi what does this mean: "No cancellation means cheaper price often"

I am not sure about Expedia terms - I belong to the expedia rewards program so I guess booking with them would prove advantageous in terms of future travel/points etc.

    Wraparound Suite

Hi, I exclusively book my flight/hotel packages through Expedia.ca ... you get a cheaper rate as a package deal, not sure about cancellations though. I do know that the hotel can't comp back through Expedia.

As for the Wraparound suite, not sure if you know this ... but the one you can book on line isn't a fountain view. You need to phone the hotel to book a fountain view wraparound suite and it's about $100 more.

I mean sometimes you can book a room for a. Certain date, example 28th January for 4 nights for 100 $. With the possibility to cancel the room. The same room on the same date could also be offered to you through the same website for 80 $. Except your not aloud to cancel or reschedule, that's why it's cheaper.
Normally it's stated clearly on the website. Just like with our without breakfast. Just look and read carefully before giving your cc details. Sites like expedia and booking. Com aren't dodgy and won't screw you if you don't read the fine print.
I have to go to sleep now. I'll ask the board tomorrow about getting your room comped if you didn't book straight through the hotel website. If your not planning to gamble it doesn't matter but if you are it might be wise to pay a bit more upfront to get some or all comped art check out...
    Hope I helped a bit :)
    Must sleep, good night

    Wraparound Suite

All Wraparound Suites on line don't have the Bellagio Fountain view ... they wrap around the other corners of the building. If you want the Wraparound Suites that have Terraces that face the Fountains ... you will have to book those by a phone call to the Hotel Reservations. I found this out last year when i went to book mine, it was $100 more. They also have other rooms available only by phoning, like most if not all higher end Properties do.

Getting compensated. See it as a thank you from the hotel because you stayed there and gambled. There are lots of posts here on the board that explain how they work.

Thanks twiceayear for the warning! I'd book straight at the hotel if I was you Freddy

with Expedia if you find a holiday cheaper they refund the difference and give you £10 from the UK not sure if the same applies from anywhere else but it's worth checking on their website.

Cosmo is affiliated with Marriott so they honor their LNF(look no further) guarantee, where if you find another website cheaper, they will give you the cheaper rate AND another 25% off. I used this in June and got it for about half the price of the Cosmo website. The key is to find a website that has it cheaper. See the link below for more info.

Like others have said, you cannot book the premium view wraparound room online, but you may still be able get one at the front desk. When we went they told us it would be an extra $100/night. We declined but still were able to see the fountains from the warparound in the Southeast corner of the West tower, which we all thought had an amazing view from the 38th floor and we could see every casino on the strip.

The following are from the balcony of room 3802, which is not a "premium view" but was still awesome:

I emailed them and asked them to put it in the request that we wanted connecting rooms and the premium view. We didnt get the premium view so it didnt matter, but we went early in the morning to check in to make sure we got the connecting rooms, which to us was the most important part. They told us that we could upgrade for an extra $100/night per room for the premium view, we said screw that and took what they gave us. One of the rooms was facing the fountains anyway and as you can see from the pics you can still see the fountains from the wraparound (room 3802 I think), its just at more of an angle.

There are 6 different locations for the wraparounds: the 4 corners of the East tower and the NE and SE(where the pics are from) corners of the West tower, so I would think that only the 2 on the southern side of the East towers dont have views of the fountains. Of course what floor you are on makes a difference too, but I have only stayed there once and the 38th floor view was pretty sweet.
