I received a 3 night comp offer from Cosmo today. I was planning on 3 nights at Wynn and 3 at PH for my Xmas trip, but happy to swap PH for Cosmo as I enjoyed my stay there in the summer.

I rang them and explained that I would need 2 rooms as my mother is coming along. She said I could have my room comped and my mother would have to pay full rate. She then said that if I booked both rooms in my name, the 2nd would be at casino rate ,but I would be responsible for all charges (which is fine).

The question I have is that if I go ahead with this - would both the up front comp (which is a central marketing one) and the casino rate be guaranteed regardless of play or could they change one or both when I am there?

The offer is the offer. Highly doubt it would change.

On the other hand, if you zero play them, anything is possible. They did try to charge me (very low play). I argued and eventually did not pay as they could not show me where I agreed to any level of play.

Of course, Mom can probably get a FREE room across the street... but guessing you do not want her over there?

Yes she's got a free room at PH but I don't think she'll take kindly to that idea!

I wouldn't zero play them, but I'll give most of my play to Wynn so doubt I'd do enough for a 3 night comp and the other on casino rate (still, I didn't play that much when I had a 2 night comp at Cosmo in the summer, and they're still sending me offers).

Cosmo tried to charge after 0play/no playing them? Was it through a host or corporate offer?

My mother is 77- this will probably be her last long trip from the UK - I don't think staying at different hotels to save a few $ really is the best option!!
