Staying at the Flamingo next weekend and looking for a place or two to go for a few hours of drinks with a friend. People watching would be a nice bonus, but would prefer to be away from loud music and the sound of slot machines if possible.

As an example of what I like, I absolutely love the Pepper Mill lounge, and also the bar by the doors going out to the grassy area of the Flamingo was a nice place to hang out.

Cheaper drink prices would be a bonus, but not a necessity.

Bills next door has great live music

if your up for a walk ?

Ballys has BETTER live music near the back of the casino.

Paris has Napoleons dueling pianos bar

Harrahs also has a dueling piano but theres is a bit more bar-ish. Napoleons is more of a lounge

Coyote, I have some bad news (well it depends upon the depth of your wallet). We had a round of drinks at Magaritaville last week and three mixed with one beer were $45. Granted, two were island type of drinks with the other being a house Marg but prices are no longer inexpensive.

Very good call, two of my favorite places. I love hanging out at Bill's in general, gambling or watching music.

And last trip I spent a couple nights at Bally's back by the music, the main being the dancing girls they had up on the ledge at the back of the music!! :nworthy:

Ya, $10 a drink just kinda turns me off. 2 trips ago, you could get a decent sized draft (can't remember what kind, but it was good) at the back bar at Bill's for I think $3. On my last trip, I stopped in but this time it was a tiny glass (8 oz or so) and $4. Still good beer. But if you're going to charge those prices, there are other places with the same prices where you get a lot better scenery.

Yikes! They must have raised the prices, I haven't drank there in a couple years.

Guess I stick with the ole Royale, and Bills
