I didn't realize it, but I booked my January trip's airfare during the CES:cry: So, I got a deal on airfare but now am getting worked over on hotel and car rental. Oh well, it could have been worse like last year when the CES and porn conventions overlapped.

Prices on the strip will definitely be higher, but the further from the convention you go, the less effect it should have. Decent rooms are available downtown and off strip for more reasonable prices. As for cars, just book the best rate you can find (that doesn't require prepayment) and keep checking - right up to the time you leave. Rental prices change often, and can vary substantially over the same dates, depending on when you book. Good luck!
