Change of pace from Harrahs although we'll probably end up there for some VP .
Saw in the paper today that the casino win or take is half what it was 10 years ago (roughly)
State is trying to take over AC and some pols want to build casinos in North Jersey, never a dull moment .
Luckily no bad weather predicted for MLK weekend so casinos should do well.
Everybody coming down (or up) here for the 3 day -er have a good time.

Hope you find some good VP, the payout table at the Toga bar was 6/5 a couple of weeks ago. It's a fun bar, but sometimes when I go there it's like I'm invisible and I have to chase down a bartender for a drink. The short bartender with granny glasses is a nitwit and has trouble remembering an order for two beers.

I saw the report for 2015, all of the Marina casinos are up, Golden Nugget was up 25% from the previous year. Borgata just continues to rock, they just do nothing wrong. Harrah's was up about 6%. Resorts and Tropicana were both up, but Caesars, Ballys, and Taj were off.

The Legislature will get the North Jersey gaming referendum on the ballot this fall, and I have no doubt it will pass. Two casinos in the Meadowlands and Jersey City will continue to siphon revenue from AC and will likely cause the Taj and Ballys to close. The proposed legislation will divert 30% of the North Jersey casino gaming tax to Atlantic City.

One of the big problems in AC is that property taxes fund most of the municipal government, the state subsidizes part of its budget. A few years ago the Borgata and other casinos successfully appealed their property tax assessment which caused the city to have to refund Two years of tax payments. The city still owes the Borgata about $150 million.

But with all that, I still prefer to play in AC over some of the closer Pennsylvania casinos.

Good luck and for a reasonable breakfast, check out Maria's Luncheonette a couple of blocks from Caesars and Formica Bakery for some Italian bread and rolls to take home. We also like Harry's on the ground floor at Bally's for lunch or dinner.

Good luck and Quads to the max! Let us know if Harrah's VP is still the best in AC.
