So we are heading to vegas in a couple of days and have booked our hotels for the weekend. One of the parties doesn't have a room for sunday night which will be our last night there. We plan on returning home sometime Monday afternoon.

I have offers at orleans, the D, most CET properties. I think I even have an offer for palms. Problem is they are all midweek offers so I can't do Saturday til monday. Which property is less likely to give me grief over checking out early. Last year I think at ballys I used express checkout and just dropped my card the night before checkout so I think that's the best bet but we prefer to all be downtown. I called the d and the lady was adamant we must stay 2 nights and also mentioned we had to call from room to checkout.

What do yall suggest... CET where it's easier to leave unnoticed or chance the d and just try to leave as late as possible Monday? Has anyone checked out from the road and just told them you had already packed bags and left without checking out?

If you do not have any room charges to get sorted out, then CET and Mlife casinos are very easy...just leave without saying or doing anything to anyone...you will automatically get checked out on checkout day.

Thanks... figured that much... hoping to get some feedback from any visitor to the D. I think even El cortez has express check out. We have credit at cortez for food I'll just remember not to use the food or be at the d

I never checkout at the d. I just leave. I don't call, don't stop at front desk, etc, etc.

CET has been known to charge an early check out fee if you checkout before the complete end of you stay. That's easy enough to fix though. don't check out and let the system check you out the day of your original departure.

    Exactly.

    Don't ask. Don't tell.

We have done offers that required a 3 night stay and never slept in the room

I did it at the Venetian, had a 3 night comp, only needed 2, but we stayed in our room as long as possible and then checked out (we had like a 7pm flight). The lady at the desk that checked us in just said as long as it's not super early you are fine... they didn't care. Or like they said just don't check out... or do the text check out or something the next day.

wondering the same thing, was offered a 2 night comp at Cosmo, and a friend decided to join our crew last minute, so I booked those two night for him; he is leaving early on the tuesday, do I need to trek myself down there from Caesars to check out myself, since the room is in my name? or can he just do a self check out and drop the key in the box (or Just leave for that matter)?

I used to NEVER check out..however, now with room charges (backend comps) I have to go by the host office to get "officially" checked out.
If I didn't have any comps coming to me, then I'd just let the system automatically check me out, and bill me for my room charges (I've done that too once)

Wow. How many posters have to say

DO NOT CHECK OUT. JUST LEAVE.

Why is this so hard to understand?

I find it hard to believe that so many places would charge for checking out early. I mean, if somebody is there on a comp, then to meet the requirements of the comp, it would be assumed that the person would gamble enough to hopefully cover it so the casino gets plenty of play from the person. If the person is paying for the room, then the cost of the room is covered so the person should be able to check out at any time they want.

I've checked out early at CET before and wasn't charged anything. I booked Saturday night because I had a late flight on Saturday night/Sunday morning. My flight was at 1:05am and I ended up checking out at a little before 7pm on Saturday, went to dinner, did some final gambling, and then headed for the airport. Maybe my play for my trip was good enough or maybe they weren't charging for it at that time. Either way, it still makes no sense.

For CET, my understanding is they charge if you check out a full day early. If you booked Monday and Tuesday night with checkout on Wednesday, they may charge if you leave Tuesday morning but probably won't if you check out Tuesday afternoon. In your shoes, I would book an offer with no added extras like freeplay or giftcards. I think the casinos are more adamant when you leave early when you get more than a room on your offer.

do not check out... just leave. Betting at least half the people in a hotel never actually check out, but leave... with or without a comp

    Just leave
