On my next trip, I can either get a comped Bally's Jubilee Luxury room or a PH "base model" Hollywood Hip room. I like the rooms at Bally's, plus I'll get a view that Hollywood Hip won't afford me (I'll be facing out the back of PH if I stay there). Plus, I'll be closer to Center Strip at Bally's, and I don't especially care about the Miracle Mile shops one way or another.

My game is Crazy 4 Poker, and I figured I could play that at similar table limits at either spot. Slot and VP options seem to be pretty much the same in both locations. Spot the Hooker might be better at PH, but I can wander downstrip later at night for that if I really want to.

So I think I've basically made my decision, but I wanted to run it past this group to see if there's anything I'm leaving out of consideration.

I think you're pretty right on with the plusses and minuses. I think only a $20 trick would help you at PH, but from what I hear the Jubilee rooms are pretty nice now. Take the guaranteed nicer room. I think you have things figured out pretty well enough that it's not worth the chance at PH.

I love PH and it's my home casino.......but I don't stay in a Hollywood Hip room. I know the windows are small and if you aren't facing the strip, I would choose Bally's.

We love the Jubilee rooms at Bally's. The windows in the PH Hollywood Hip rooms are very small

I stayed in a Hollywood Hip room last August and November comped. I stayed in a Jubilee room about a month ago mostly comped.
I liked the HH rooms but the Jubilee rooms are far better than the standard rooms at PHO. More space, coffee maker with separate sink/alcove, a fridge, etc.
I used the sandwich to get a Jubilee room (i was booked in an Indigo Classic room) and glad i did.
I spend most of my time at Bally's, Paris, and PHO anyways, but staying in a Jubilee room was one of the highlights. The standard HH room was just OK, as it was comped, just a place to sleep.
I book Vegas on comps, or whatever is cheaper at CET for when i want to go, then use the tip. I booked Flamingo for November, 5 nights comped, the 6th $12. I will use the tip for a GO room.
But Bally's is where i have stayed the most times over the years, and will do so again, in a Jubilee room.

Another vote for Ballys. I've stayed at both places more than once, not a fan of PH. The only thing I like about that place is Strip House. That restaurant makes some seriously good food, easily better than the more expensive Ramsay Steak IMO.

While I really like PHo Casino, as other's have said the windows of Hollywood Hip rooms are very small and the windows always seem to be filthy. The bathrooms are nice but the rooms are very small and very dark. Jubilee Luxury strictly based on room is the right choice.

The only reason I would stay at a PH HH room is because I like to play at PH, and when I'm done for the night, I can just go upstairs. Luckily, I get upgraded to a Vista Room. But the rooms at Bally's are larger with floor-to-ceiling windows. I even heard they've upgraded many of those rooms. It's also a closer walk to Caesars and Mirage; although it's a long walk to past Caesars to Mirage

Just be aware that you are not guaranteed the Jubilee tower at Bally's. I booked a comped Jubilee room on my last trip and it was indicated as such on my confirmation. When I checked in I was told all that was available was an Indigo room and that since it was a comp I had to take it.

Yeah, I'm hoping a flight that lands at 2 pm will help me check in when there's some kind of Jubilee room still available. I usually have the issue you mentioned when I land later at night.

Well that sucks.....I'd be tempted to double book elsewhere just in case no Jubilee is available.

Yeah it did and it was around 1-2 pm when I checked in. So there were likely just no rooms cleaned so I could have maybe gotten one if I had waited. But I had stayed in an Indigo room previously and it was fine so I didn't make a big deal about it.
