It's been at least 10 years since we actually played there but our Boyd play has earned us free rooms and we are going in a few weeks.
Does one playing slots on the floor still get free microbews from the cocktail girl and if so can we get 2 or 3 recommendations on which brews
    to order?

The easiest and quickest to get are the five on tap at the Boar's Head bar, if you are playing on the south end of the casino. Those beers are High Roller, Royal Red, Pale Ale, Black Chip Porter and the fifth escapes me at the moment. If you are playing on the north end of the casino, then the CW works out of the 777 brewpub. All the above mentioned beers are available, plus some of the seasonal beers also.

If you have a decent waitress and even if you are on the south end (think crap tables) she should be able to get you a brew from the brewpub, just more walking for her and it might take more time.

My two favorites are the Black Chip Porter and the IPA. Used to drink the porter all the time (smoooooth), but the last few years I've gravitated to the IPA. The other two are good but I'm not a lager person. Last month the beer of the month was a strawberry ale. It was the only beer I've had there that I didn't like.

I like to sit at the Boars Head bar and get a High Roller with a lemon - or several depending how I am doing. They are pretty good about keeping your glass full too!

I don't play slots, but the servers will bring the beers to the tables, one of the major reasons I play there. If you like dark beers, the Black Chip Porter is first class. I also really like the Pale Ale for a change up. If you don't want to wait for a waitress, you can walk up to the Boars Head bar and get a pint for only $2. So, I will generally get a pint and then go to the tables so I don't have to be thirsty waiting.

If there's only 5 choices then we will for sure be trying them ALL.

I really like the Marker Pale Ale. The IPAs are variable - they rotate slightly throughout the year. Most of them are very good, although occasionally I'll get one I don't care for. I'm not much of a dark beer drinker, although I did try the Black Cherry Stout and enjoyed it a lot.

Hefeweizen is the 5th "regular" beer. They did a mango beer about 7 years ago that was awesome. Based on the High Roller with just a hint of mango. You didn't want to drink 4 in a row but it was great to throw into the rotation.
