I've never had the fortune - or misfortune - of being in LV for a championship game of any kind. That changes on January 12 . . . and completely by accident.
Does anyone know of a good downtown viewing party for the college football championship? I've not seen anything yet - probably too early - but I've heard MSS has a good party in the 777.
We're staying at the GG but I don't recall seeing anything close to a party room there.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have been for several recent title games and never saw any sign of any official parties but really wasn't looking for them either. Watched one in the Hard Rock sports book. Do not recommend. Watched a couple at machines on the Bellagio floor right next to a TV. Free drinks for minimal play so it worked out pretty good but I doubt that's what you're looking for. I will be there again this year so I'm interested in any responses.

The college title game doesn't generate anything close to interest of MM, Super Bowl, or even a normal fall football weekend.
It's been a few years since I was in town for one (I remember Ohio State being one of teams) and it was a ho-hum affair.

The last time I was there for one, Ohio State and Florida were playing. Florida crushed them and the main thing I remember is an incredibly obnoxious Gator fan giving a hard time to an OSU fan at the airport. Guess he's singing a different tune these days, huh?

You could have just said gator fan - the incredibly obnoxious is a given!

Oh...y'all mean the "playoff" that excludes the true #3 & #4 teams - Baylor & TCU?
    THAT "playoff"?
    :grrr:

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!
