Presume you are probably aware that this is actually for the Boyd casinos, (and in this case the Gold Coast, Orleans, Sam's Town, and Suncoast, but not the 3 downtown Boyd locations).
It is really an extension of the existing Wednesday 7:00AM to 7:00PM Young at Heart activities for the B Connected senior members. Until now the bonus multiplier for the day expired at 7:00PM. But now, by reswiping the membership card at a kiosk after 7:00PM, a new bonus multiplier that is good until midnight is generated. This is a welcome opportunity to pick up more bonus points. Good thing, too--not all us old codgers want to shut it down for the night at 7:00.
There is an additional feature that after 200 REGULAR points are earned after the 7:00PM reswiping, a $10 voucher can be obtained at a kiosk entitling the bearer that amount of credit on a meal if presented before midnight at a restaurant. I can't see this as being of much benefit, considering the time frame (not many eateries are open at 11:00 or so), and particularly since a member could very well have been entitled to and have received one or even two FREE buffets earlier in the day.
Further details if needed are available on the websites for the 4 locations participating. It is called Young at Heart After Dark.

Why doesn't Boyd do something for the 21-35 crowd too??

Good question. The same question could be asked of restaurants who have special menus, and senior discounts. It could be asked of department stores, grocery outlets, etc. whio have special senior discounts. The list is endless.
Re: the Boyd's philosphies, I suspect they recognize that loyalty is more evident with the older set. I'm sure they find there are fewer behaviour problems with the average oldster when compared to his or her counterpart in the younger crowd. Less wear and tear on the rooms and contents because of this.
My wife and i are now 85, and these days almost entirely confine our 2 or 3 yearly Vegas visits to the Orleans (60%) & Gold Coast (40%). We rarely visit the strip any more nor have any burning desire to do so. Been there--done that. We are Sapphire members, which means that they give us a potential 6 nights each per year at the Orleans, and if we could make it, could each get 12 nights at the Gold Coast based on their 2 night offers every 2 months. We can sometimes scrounge additional nights if we are able to work in a slot machine, video poker, or keno tournament into our schedule. Bonus points and Young at Heart promotions give us lots of help in paying for our meals. Rooms, restaurants, and gambling options are very much to our liking.
So even the 3 or 4 hours of extra bonus multiplier on Wednesday is welcome news, We will take advantage of some of it, plus everything else we find attractive that these two hotels pass our direction as long as we are physically and/or mentally able to do so.

I think it's because the 21-35 crowd aren't the target market for Boyd.
