Continuing to do some research, curious if those in the know could help out...

Most Clubs have "10 PM" written down as show time for the big DJs, but from everything I've read most of them go on around 1:30. Is there a time when the lines are shorter? Could we get right in at 10 and hang out for 3 hours, or is it pretty steady from the time doors open?

the timing sounds about right for the headliners to come on.
you won't find much of a line at 10, but honestly, hanging out there for that long can be a little trying, especially if you don't have a table or anything.
Regardless of how much into the club scene you are, and depending on how large your drinking bankroll is, there is the very real possibility that you'll either get A- super bored and tired, and/or B- super drunk and blowing all your money too early into the night.

don't know if you're male or female- if you're a girl, you can pretty much line up at any time and it shouldn't be THAT hard to get in. If you're a guy, well, you gotta suck it up and wait a long time in line.

Thanks..,unfortunately we're doubly cursed....three guys (strike one) and not interested in the girls (strike 2). Probably best to get there the earlier, the better, though we did pre buy the tix,

I've arrived pretty much when the club opened (10:30ish?) for Hakkasan when Tiesto was performing with pre-purchased tickets. We waited maybe 5 minutes in line. It does make for a long night... especially if you stay until closing.

A couple of weeks ago I went to Omnia on a Friday night. We went right after Absinthe got done (about 11:30/11:45). We purchased tickets ahead of time and we waited in line for about 45 minutes.

if you're not getting bottle service or bribing your way in during peak hours, go as early as possible, with your presale or pay cover. get a stamp and leave. go back at whatever time you want with your re-entry stamp.

If you show up at about midnight say, about how much do you think you'd have to tip the doorman to get in quick? Like $20? $40? This would most likely be for a Sunday or Monday.
