Guy's lucky he didn't "fall down" like the guy who tried to rob the marine a while back.

Agree with this on so many levels.

And there appears to many more idiots if you read the responses to the newspaper article itself.

    Wow, very exciting.

    So here's my take:
(I wasn't there, just read the article, just making it up, blag blah blah.)

Performers are usually pretty possessive about their stuff. I'm sure the Thunder men are even moreso because there is probably a relatively short lifespan for that line of work. So to see their stuff piled up probably pissed them off pretty good. You're messing with their image and paycheck.

Although I have never been a revue dancer (I just play one at home), I think they would lift weights to pump up before the show which gets adrenaline going. Add some anger to it and you have some big dudes looking to kick some ass.

Put a gun to their buddy's head? It just got real. Everyone's seen tv shows with that scenario so they were just waiting to jump him.

If he got his ass kicked by a bunch of gay guys, the boys in cell block D are going to have a good laugh at that.

With all the excitement backstage, they probably put on a hell of a show that night.
