I kinda figured this was coming. My wife and I saw the show in 2013. You could tell that ticket sales were dismal because the theatre was practically empty. Then about 20 minutes before the show started a huge Asian travel junket that booked Ballys came in and almost filled the theatre. It was a free show for those who booked the junket.

It's sad the see something that is identified as "Vegas" end. It was a clean, wholesome, fancy and glittery show that was a bit sexy and risqué. But I guess the show doesn't appeal to today's audiences like it used to.

Today's audiences prefer gyrating pelvis's and simulated sex acts and oversized, fake boobs. :wink2::evillaugh

They never offer deep discount like the shows at Sax and V theaters in PH.
People either want to see a very hot show, or want very good value (like 90% off).

Jubilee is a classic that I'll miss. I'm already making plans to see it again before it shuts down.

And shows where singers don't sing. I am glad that we saw both Jubilee and Follies before they closed.

This is something that I had on a things-to-do list, but not high enough on the list. I better move it up on the list.

I saw it a couple of years ago, before they redid the show. It was cheesy but I was glad to see it.

Don't bother. Besides the Sampson and Delilah scene they screwed the pooch with the overhaul. Wife and I saw it over labor day weekend. First they pulled the great Ziegfeld Follies number with all the white feather style show girls costumes early in production. Then they revamped the music in a bunch of scenes to a modern style soundtrack, you can tell the music is not choreographed to the scenes well and it is completely out of place.

If you remember the earlier version of the show, don't go. It will completely ruin the nostalgia. If you do go, leave after the Titanic number, trust me, the show completely goes down the shitter after that number.

My wife saw before and after the overhaul. She preferred the earlier version by far. I only saw the redo.

Wanted to see this, but SWMBO balked because of the nudity, which I understand is actually quite tame compared to many shows!

    Will give them a try!

Oh wow! Well, another Vegas classic being put to rest.

Jubilee had a great run. So glad I got to see it (twice!).

I'd definitely agree with that. I went this week just because I knew it was closing. I figured it had to be good to have remained for so long. Apparently not. I walked out about halfway through (think I stuck it out past the Titanic piece).

Only 2nd trip for year :(
