In my visit in 2012, I did my first visit to Aria, Cosmo, Vdara, MO, and the City Center area. I must admit, it was beyond confusing. I found it so confusing in fact, that I just avoided the area the rest of the trip.

This time, I hope to be able to spend a little more time there. I want to play some poker in Aria and try out a restaurant or two across the board.

Is there a trick to finding your way around? Best way to enter, any short cuts or best ways to navigate through?

    Any guidance is appreciated.

I think the best thing may be to stick to the tram. I have always taken the tram through and have been thoroughly irritated trying to walk out back onto LVB.

I believe they've opened up some passages in crystals to make it easier to walk thru to get to aria, along with some better signage.

If you're coming from the south strip, go into Monte Carlo and enter aria thru that connection, it should bring you fairly close to the poker room.

The way thru Bellagio to vdara, and then for vdara to aria is also pretty easy to follow.

No idea how the tram will help.

It has three stops. One outside Bellagio on way to Vdara.
One at back entrance to Monte Carlo shared with garage end entrance of Aria.

Then the strange one in the middle of Crystals, on the upper floors.

Bottom line, the whole place is confusing, and not that pedestrian friendly. And, I find the maps supplied by MGM/MIRAGE less than helpful. Pretty, slick but not helpful.

I have heard a few people say they found City Center confusing to get around, or how difficult it was to get to Aria from The Strip...

I have to admit that I never understood that:
You can walk down The Strip to the driveway and just walk up to City Center and Aria, or you can enter The Crystals mall where if you walk straight ahead to the middle of the mall you have a choice to go left or right: go left and you end up at the City Center driveway with Veer to your right and Mandarin Oriental straight ahead... go right and you end up at the Aria lobby.

Yes, from the Quad I would cross the street, go up by the Cosmo (either go inside the cosmo or take the stairs by cosmo) then take the walkway into Crystals, cut thru the top level of Crystals and exit by the SHE Steakhouse, take an immediate right and you are inside the ARIA lobby.

The entire Crystals Shopping Place is a nightmare to get around. It is the Hell Mouth to Confusion. I hate that mall.
I avoid going inside of it at all costs. It is easier for me to get to ARIA from the street or tram than to navigate that hateful mall.

I thought that the first time I went there as well. But after walking around Crystals once, I find the entire area really quick and easy to navigate. In fact, I find it's much easier and faster to get from the Aria to the Cosmo, Monte Carlo, and Bellagio than it is to get from any casino to casino on the strip. That's why it's my favorite place to stay now... proximity and access to other strip properties is a breeze.

I don't find it confusing. If you want to go the Monte Carlo, Vdara, Bellagio go towards the back of the hotel - signage you can't miss it (Monte Carlo takes you directly to strip and wherever else you'd like to go as well). If you want to go anywhere else go towards the front of the hotel if you are walking towards the check in desk go to the left, outside, then into crystals. Once in Crystals you can go to the skybridge to the right - MO, sky bridge to the left PH, Cosmo, LVB, whatever else you want. It is my favorite location to stay at - getting places can be a bit of a walk but I don't mind it. It's easy access to everything I like besides the V/P Wynncore area.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Sounds like I just need to explore. It also sounds like there is some good signage in Crystals. They also have a map on their website, so lets hope that is accurate and will be helpful. :eek2

    Thanks again!

I'm also a big fan of a little shortcut from Aria to Cosmo:
Exit out the north taxi stand (near JP Patisserie) and walk to your right toward Vdara. Right before you hit Vdara and the pocket park, there's a set of stairs (and elevator). Take those down and you're a little walk from Cosmo. Saves us ten minutes, I swear.

That's how we walked to the Aria from the Cosmo.

The walkway section by the Cosmo driveway was a bit awkward & tight, though.

It was really windy & chilly when we were there in May 2011.

You can now see the inside of many Vegas casinos, including the City Center complex, on Google maps. On the Google maps page just remember to uncheck "sattelite view" and check or search "map inside casinos". Very handy to see the overview to help get the lay of the place. Also, can use it on your smartphone while inside the casino and with GPS turned on it will show you fairly exactly where you are.

Been that route and that's the long way around. Going through Crystals literally takes only a few minutes.

Easiest way from Aria to Cosmo through Crystals imo:
Leave the Aria by the little Exit when you pass the CI counters on the left end an use the entry of crystals.
Touch the wall to your left :poke: and follow it until you come to the next exit. You'll come directly to the Cosmo entrance / bridge to Miracle Mills! :hmmm:
Think it works on the opposite direction to! :rolleyes2:

There's not a lot places to get lost there. But once you learn the layout, it's amazingly simple to understand. And, it's so easy to get to the PoHo, Cosmo, Bellagio, and the Monte Carlo from Aria that it's now become my favorite place to stay. Much faster than any other casino to casino.
