    Wow. Even as someone who is completely against the fees, that column was pretty loaded and it doesn't seem well researched. However, I didn't recall seeing anything about the FTC letter that demanded immediate action or implemented rules. I don't know if the FTC can even implement rules like the DOT can. And if they can't, they will have to resort to suing hotels to get things to change.

    If the scam is "rife in vacation destinations" then how can be considered a hidden fee?

    Obviously everyone should know about it.
