We are arriving on Friday night (actually Saturday morning) and will not be checking into our rooms at TI until about 1 AM. We made them aware of this when we reserved, anything we should specifically look out for? anyone else ever check in that late and run into problems? I am tempted to go with the $20 trick to insure that we get what we reserved, 2 strip view rooms, one king, and one 2 queens for our sons. Any thoughts?

Trick will not get you what you reserved....it will either be available or it won't. I have never checked in at that time so no help there. You have already reserved the top regular room. Trick could posssibly get you upgraded to a suite on the king room. If they overbooked the 2 queen rooms you could possibly be downgraded to a non strip view. I know it doesn't sound fair but it happens at every hotel everyday. I disagree with the overbooking policy of all hotels and airlines. If they downgrade you make sure you make a stink and ask for the rate to be lowered. I stayed at Foxwoods in CT last week for my birthday King Smoking reserved 2 months ahead of time, had to take a non smoking which nearly killed me.
