First trip not renting a car. What is the best (cheapest) way from airport to Orleans Casino? We have two people in our party. Thanks

    Cheapest way: walk

Best way (without a rental car): shuttle or taxi

What I would do in your situation: shuttle, it's a flat fee and while it may take a bit longer, you don't have the haggle and hassle of the taxi driver

IMHO, taxi, tell the driver to take "Swenson to Tropicana." If you end up on the highway, call the taxi authority and threaten the driver. Should be less than $20.

WAX bus from the airport. Alight at NYNY on Tropicana and catch the 201 from same stop to Orleans. Each bus ride is $2.

We often do that, though it's better to buy a 2-hour pass onboard for $3. And for us seniors, it's only $1.50 for the entire trip. Depending on the time, the WAX usually runs only once per hour, so if we just miss it, we'll take the 109N to Tropicana and catch the 201 from there. The 108 to Tropicana is another option, but the 201 stop there is rather isolated. Taking the CX from Terminal 3 would be another way of getting to Tropicana, which we tried in June, but just missed. Of course, with the WAX, you don't even have to cross streets to get to the other bus stop.
