(I wasn't sure where to post this. Mods - please move it to a more appropriate area as needed.)

Hubby and I saw Cheap Trick and Boston perform at the Joint on Saturday. We went over to the Hard Rock a couple hours before the concert to grab a light 'dinner'. We ate at Culinary Dropout, which is described as a "funky gastropub breaks all the rules in the most delicious way". I enjoyed the grinder sandwich and chardonnay, and we both enjoyed the live music (a single singer and folk guitar - almost a '70s coffeehouse type of performer).

The Joint venue is nice. I like that it isn't a huge arena. (It appeared the venue wasn't too much larger than the House of Blues.) I was pleasantly surprised by how well Cheap Trick performed. And I loved getting to see Boston perform again. The sound quality was good on the floor where we were seated (to the left of the center section). It was a good time, Boston played many of the hits from their earlier albums, along with a few new songs.

So glad to hear it was a good time! I was in town earlier that week and loved hearing all the old Boston tunes being played in the casino.

I saw Cheap Trick on "Guitar Center Sessions" ( ?) recently.
The lead singer wasn't the original guy ---
this singer was kinda creepy actually........he was "remote" ?
kinda in his own world at the mic....w/ a "Cruiser " look.
Maybe, the guy's running the band told him to act that way ?
    Creep'd me out.
