Ok I some how made diamond level at the CET casinos and they are all nice casinos and I get good comps and free rooms whenever I want. But....

I feel like I'm stuck at playing at CET casino and I shouldn't go to the other casinos because I'm getting free rooms and free play / resort credits. So I'm pretty much stuck unless I want to start fresh at Mlife and grind out teir points and credits till I get to the point where I ger free rooms and so on. Anyone else else feel this way? Or is it just me?

I usually make 1-2 trips for sure and I've started to make more trips out there now so I probably come out anywhere between 1-4 times in a year depending on what else is going on and who's able to go. I usually am the one bring a few friend with me.

I would like to try some of the other casinos but I don't want CET to give me free rooms and me giving my play to Mlife. Even though I gave CET enough for the comps that I'm getting so the free rooms aren't really free I've paid / lost my share to pay for my rooms and my free play / resort fees. I don't really drink alcohol but I've had rough times where I'll pay 501 dollars for a Pepsi.

So what's a guy gotta do... I guess I'm pretty much stuck.

    Any thoughts?

Personally, use CET while building up MLife. As you stated in your last paragraph, " Even though I gave CET enough for the comps that I'm getting so the free rooms aren't really free I've paid / lost my share to pay for my rooms and my free play / resort fees."

There's nothing wrong with gambling at a new place or places. People do it all the time in Vegas.

If you are feeling guilty, split the play between CET and MLife. I'm not a big gambler at all so I don't know how reducing play at CET will or can hurt future comps if it even does.

If you are able to make Diamond at Total Rewards in 1-2 trips a year you wouldn't have a problem switching to MLife and getting the comps/offers coming in right away...

The issue is whether you are going to want to establish and maintain higher status at both: my wife and I bounce around between gold and platinum with Total Rewards and get up to gold with MLife and we are able to get free room offers with extras (free play, resort credit) at both CET and MGM properties.

BUT... what we do get is less than what we would get if we concentrated all our play at either MGM or CET. So if you are getting nice rooms comped at Caesars Palace you might have to give them up to go for lesser rooms at CP and maybe nice rooms at Paris and Planet Hollywood if you want to start getting some decent room offers from the MGM properties.

The big thing to remember is: even if you totally stiffed Total Rewards on your next trip (took a room offer with extras and then put 100% of your play in to MLife properties) your offers will go down from Total Rewards, but they aren't going to totally stop. If you pare your play down a little at Total Rewards on a trip to give some of the other properties action there might not even be much of a noticeable impact on your offers.

Otherwise, free rooms are great and all that, but I would rather play where I want to play: I go there to be on vacation, have fun, gamble, drink, eat, etc... I don't want to be limited to only half of Las Vegas because of a loyalty program.

First of all thanks for reading my post and replying I appricate any helpful comments and info on any post I make.

The only problem with me splitting my play in 2015 Im not sure how many times I'm going to make it out to Vegas in 2015. I would still like to keep the diamond status just incase I I do want to make a trip out and have a nice room and some extra free play resort credits show tickets. I think I only made diamond barely this year but I made 3-4 trips and I dropped more then I'd like but it happens. If I split my play I think I would end up being platinum next year at CET and maybe one step or two at Mlife I'm not sure how there statement runs but that would put me at so so offer to come out to Vegas. I was also thinking of just taking a year or two off save the money up for those trips on a side fund and come out to Mlife hotel pay for a room and blow a shit ton of money in a 48/72 hour binge and see what level I could make. The only shitty thing of that is I would have to loose of these offers I'm getting at CET. Since I made diamond it's making me want to make more trips because of the offer they are giving me. Only other time I've had special treatment was at my local casino which gave me there highest card gave me free stuff food tickets to shows tickets to packer games skybox and concerts and stuff.

Also I saw on another post on this website under the comp section that CET repersenitive said that if people take the free / comp rooms and free play / resort credit they kind of expect you to play at there casino and play at the rate your rated at like a diamond player should put so much of action because they are giving you these free things. I see it as I've already played / gave them that action to earn that level and they should be giving me these comps to keep me at there casino even if my play slows down. One trip I came out and relax more then play even though I end up giving them some pretty good action at my level. I know there are huge fish that post on this site and I'm telling you I'm a small fish in a huge ocean. This up coming trip idk how much play I'm going to do. I'm coming out because I want my mother to have fun she doesn't get the chance to do it very much. My father doesn't like to fly or gambling so she been out there but it's been only a couple times in her life time. I might take in a show this time and maybe do the linq thing if my mom wants to. Going to take her to Fremont street because that's where she use to stay when they came out to Vegas.

Yeah I put all my play at one location even though I would like to stay and play at some other locations. Don't get me wrong CET properties aren't bad just want a change. I like the idea of putting all the action at one program because I do like the offer I get. Again it makes me want to come out more. I guess that's how they kind of trap you if I started getting my flights comped and the transportation I would be there 3-6 times a year. I also don't know much about the Mlife program and what I would really get from them vs CET. I have a point of contact now that makes my reservations and my comps for me which is nice. The only thing is he screwed up my trip that's coming up and told me I had my promotion in for 350 resort credit and 350 free play plus the free rooms and also a request for a suite but a lady called me two days ago to confirm my reservations for my trip she said there wasn't a promotional code the only thing was the free rooms and no request for a suite even though he told me that's what he did... Kinda disappointed for the first time by him. I glad the lady called she add a code for 700 free play and 2 tickets to the linq and I believe an upgrade to a suite. I would have been pissed if I got there and Chris lied to me I probably would have left CET for sure.

Next trip, stay at CET, and pick an MGM property you think you'd like to stay at, and give it some minimal play. Not enough to seriously dent your bankroll, just enough to get on MLife radar. A couple of hundred through a slot machine.

That will get you some teaser offers from MLife.

On the following trip, stay and play at the MLife property and see how you like it. See what kind of offers you get from MLife after that trip, and how they stack up to CET.

I might throw a little into Mlife this coming trip but not a lot. The only problem is if I get teaser offers from Mlife they give me like 2 night free or something CET will pretty much give me a suite and up to 5 nights free with around 700 in free stuff or cruise which I'm thinking of making a trip out for the NCL giveaway where they give you a voucher for a cruise for two which could be fun. It be hardto turn down the CET off cause my flights are usually 400+

As an mLife Platinum and V/P Venetian/Palazzo Gold and privileged Downtowner, my .02

1)Do you feel "lucky" at any mLife casino? Do you want to play/stay at any of the mLife casinos or Venetian/Palazzo?
----I do not feel lucky at any of the CET casinos, I just don't like them. So, I would have no interest in raising my level.

    2)Timing is everything.
----The mLife calendar year is from 10/1-9/30, so you are 3 months late in getting a start if you were going to switch over this year. I don't understand the "holdover" policy at CET, but V/P is calendar year and at mLife you get your new status for at least a year. I made platinum in August of 2014 and will keep it through at least Sept. 30, 2015 (The next level, Noir is by invitation only)

3)How many times do you intend to visit Las Vegas this year, and where else do you travel?
----CET has casinos at a lot of places that mLife and V/P don't. However, since my primary place to vacation (gamble) is Las Vegas, this is immaterial. I was fortunate enough to visit LV 12 times this year and still play on "house money". I don't want 2015 to be known as "the year he gave it all back", so my trip strategy will change.

    4)What levels are you playing?
----- CET has "attractive" promotions where you can make "Diamond in a Day". mLife and V/P do not, but the Gold level for V/P is relatively low.

5)Do you have any interest in participating in the Holiday Gift Exchanges?
-----CET, mLife, and V/P all have holiday gift exchanges. If you are interested in these, check out the threads in the Comp forum. This year I spread my play out so this I had less than $100 for V/P but $1900 (freeplay value) for mLife, and less than $10 fior CET.

If any of these apply to your situation, just some other thoughts to consider. Hope this helps.

New Orleans 7* retreat. Food, food, and more food . . . .
    Tentatively Tahoe or LV . . . .
