    Hey gang.

Trying to help my kid sister and BIL select a room for the spring trip we’re going to take together. It appears that if she and I combine our TR cards, she will be able to get a fair number of decent rooms comp’d. However, since my knowledge of CET rooms is limited, I’m not sure how to advise her. So, I figured I’d turn to the VMB crew for help.

So, what can you tell me about the following rooms? Does one stand out to you as “superior” to the rest?

    Paris Red Room Premier
    P.H. Resort Room
    P.H. Mountain Luxury
    P.H. Premium Fountain View
    Caesars Forum Tower

Obviously, the overall property must be taken into account. But the two of them have been to Vegas multiple times, so I think they have a decent grasp of the pros and cons of the properties. I’d just like to be able to give them some idea as to which room is “best”.

    Thanks! :peace:

I am not sure about much at PH but I do know the Premium Fountain View is the best of those PH options. I don't know how to rank the three but they are different enough hotels that even if you sister takes the "best" room, if she doesn't stay in the right hotel, it won't impress her. For example, my mom had that PH Premium fountain room. She said the room is nice but because the hotel didn't do anything for her, it was wasted on her. Paris is the most vanilla of the three so it is the safest choice. PH is geared towards a younger, partying crowd. It's very modern with lots of loud music. CP has elements that skews to the younger crowd but overall it has an older crowd. It is an iconic hotel so there's a case to be made for trying it at least once.

I hear ya, leo21, and agree 100%. I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect from the rooms. I know she has enjoyed staying at both PH and Paris (though not in any of the aforementioned rooms) and is curious about trying CP. But I also know that she does enjoy having a nice room. So, the quality of the room may sway her one way or the other.

The Red Room Premier at Paris has a great view of the fountains and strip. They are the remodeled rooms on the top floors of the hotel on the front side.

I would urge you to look at some videos of the rooms on YouTube. This way you can get a good idea of what the rooms look like in a video format.

BTW, I would pick a PH Resort room over the fountain view. The rooms are larger, and the small windows at PH dont do the views justice. The mountain view rooms are pretty much resort rooms except they have a mountain view instead of strip or pool view.

I have never seen a forum tower room, but they look great in the videos I have seen. On the small side, but multi-head showers and a lot of techno-geek stuff.

    Hope this helps.

    Not that much room difference.

I would go with past visitors as to location. PH, Paris, Caesars all about the same. For what it is worth, Paris of any room type is my choice.

Have not stayed at PH, but my preference would be for Paris Red Premier over Forum at CP. Just my two cents.

I think that you will find that the Luxury or Red Room Premier rooms with view at Paris aren't that much different as they both overlook the pool, the strip and the fountains at Belagio.

They have been updating their Luxury rooms as of late.

    Thanks for the info guys.

domeboy, I very much appreciate the info about the differences between the various PH rooms.

It sounds like they’ll be fine in any of these rooms, so the overall resort and location is probably going to be the deciding factor. I figured that would be the case but wanted to make sure there wouldn’t be any surprises with regard to the room they would be getting.

    As a follow up:

My sister (and probably the BIL too) will certainly be spending some time at the spa and probably getting some sort of treatment. Does this fact make Caesars the “only choice”? Or is there less of a difference in quality (between CP and Paris/PH) than I’m assuming there is?

Since you mention the spa, I think you should stay at Caesar's. That spa is so nice and it's great to be able to use it in the morning and then again late afternoon.

I say book the Forum Tower room. When checking in, see if they will let you have a room in Augustus or Palace towers. The Spa is in Augustus.

Something to consider at CP: If they aren't busy, they can be pretty good on upgrades. I'm a Platinum and the last time I booked a Forum, I got the Palace Tower. My mom is a Diamond and was upgraded from Palace to Augustus with a view of the fountains. The rooms in the premium tower at CP would be something more special compared to the list your family is considering. If they are willing to take a gamble, it may be worth taking the Forum room and seeing if they can get upgraded.

    Easy upgrades at Caesars

I would choose Caesars hands down. It's going to be spring and they have the best pools out of the bunch. Also, they will have the best chance of a really good upgrade to a better room (palace, augustus or octavius towers) - plus the forum tower rooms aren't bad.

When traveling with my wife it is ceasars all the way. The pool and the spa are imprtant to both of us. Her so she can go, and me so she can go and I can gamble. Ceasars blows all of the other properties away when it comes to thes amanities. It is not even close.
In fact qua is very competetive with any spa on teh strip not named Mandarin Oriental and the prices are very solid.
