I have about 85,000 reward credits with CET. I often travel to Lake Tahoe since it is so close. When I was there last month I charged a few things to the room. I called down in the morning to see if a host could take those items off my bill. She said that she would have to use reward credits first and then could possibly start comping items. I think this policy varies throughout the CET network.

Headed to Vegas on Monday and I'm thinking about using up all my reward credits because of this. I'm thinking of either converting them all to Hawaiian Airline miles or just spending them on some merchandise.

Anyone else try and keep a 0 reward credits balance? Should I keep it at 0?

I agree it the application of the policy seems to be inconsistent, and that if you earned comps beyond rewards credits, those other comps should be used first.

That said, my thinking is to always spend down rewards credits at any casino chain on every trip, because just like airline miles/points, they are sitting ducks for devaluation. Plus, you never really know when you'll be back.

I would like to do that - like maybe convert it to freeplay but I am afraid that they won't comp my charges so I keep a good size balance on my reward credits. I believe that Lake Tahoe would probably comp but I don't think that Vegas would for me.

We use our tr credits and keep the balance at 0 or pretty darn close to that. It always gets used by host to clear charges then additional comps after that.

Thanks for the replies. I'm probably going to try and drain a good amount of reward credits if not all of them.

I am going to Vegas in April. My question is what do you think the amount of play would get CET to cover your charges that you made to your room.

I play a lot harder in Tahoe than I do in Vegas. For one thing my money lasts a lot longer. For example - I usually make between 1000-1800 tier credits a day in Vegas. In Tahoe - the last couple of trips 2500 tier one day - 1K next day and 5K tier the last day (not including bonus) In Tahoe- they probably would have comped my charges but at Vegas = I don't know?

There is not enough information to comment. How much are your room charges? Are you being comped upfront for a room/suite? How many nights? Do you know your theo numbers? My guess would be you have an ADT in Vegas of about $600-$800.
