I've never stayed at a CET property (I'm an MLifer) and have done very little gambling there so I get the most basic offers I'm sure. I plan on going for 5 nights in April and am looking at combining my typical 3 nights comped at a MLife property (typically stay at NYNY or Monte Carlo) with a comped/cheap 2 night stay at a CET property. Here are my options from my rate calendar (all basic rooms):

    PHo - $125 ave/night
    Rio - Comp
    Hannah's - $30 ave/night
    Paris - $120 ave/night
    Flamingo - $55 ave/night
    Bally's - Comp
    Quad - Comp

I typically use a room to sleep so I don't need anything fancy, only clean. Because of that, probably won't stay at Pho or Paris but would consider any of the other properties. Or should I consider upgrading room categories as well (ie. its only $15 for a GO Deluxe room at Flamingo)?

Lots of threads about this but most seem to be 1 CET property vs. another. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hi, I have only ever stayed at the Flamingo, Planet Hollywood and Caesars Palace. We didn't like the room at Planet Hollywood but loved the casino. I really like the Go rooms at the Flamingo but be aware if you're travelling with a friend that the bathroom door is frosted glass. If I didn't get free rooms at Caesars Palace now I would have absolutely no problem going back to the Flamingo. You can't beat their location.

Bally's rooms are great - much better than my experiences at PH or Flamingo. Harrah's casino creeps me out at times so won't stay there....lol. There is construction in many areas but I would still choose Bally's. It's location is the best for us....

Based on the above, I would book Ballys before they change their mind. Comp, mid strip, decent room/hotel. Looks like a done deal to me??

Bally's is fine to lay your head.

Flamingo is good if you want a bit of a nicer room (upgrade) and care about the pool.

Wouldn't stay at Quad as other rooms are also comped.

    Never stayed at Harrahs.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Pool isn't that important as my wife and several other friends will be flying in on Friday so I'll take advantage of the extra day and a half and will mostly gamble. Pool time will be Friday-Monday.

Sounds like Bally's is a good option.

Bally's for you are smack in the middle of CET land. But will have to deal with the construction in front, a minor pain.

As for what type of room to try to get a complementary upgrade for, or which tower to choose, you'll have to go back and read the forums.

re: Construction. If heading south on strip, exit via Paris. If heading north, go outside door of Ballys, cross over at light.

I would say Flamingo or Ballys is a decent comparison to NYNY/Monte Carlo. I still think the MLife rooms are better, but they are fairly comparable.

As other have pointed out both of these hotels are a central location which is beneficial.

Funny you say this as I have commented to my wife that when ever we walk through that casino it is like the carnival is in town and some of those "usual attractions" are staying there. But like you, we enjoy playing there.

$125 is higher than I expected per night even for PH unless you are going for some upgraded room. If you are getting 3 night comps for MLife you shouldn't have an issue getting at least that plus more Free Play at CET.

Go with Ballys since it is free. Charge all meals to your room and there is a good chance you can get them comped at the end of your trip. Ballys will make it nice with its connection directly with Paris which is right next door to PH. As a result you will get to experience all three. One note about Ballys is that some people have commented about the noise at night due to the construction.

I have stayed at all these hotels, Rio would be my choice. Unfortunately, you will need a rental car, or wait for the shuttle to the Strip. My Bally's experiences have not been great, and the casino is dead. Harrahs is not very good either.

Yep, agree that Bally's is a solid choice. We've stayed at the lower end CET properties (Quad, Harrah's, Flamingo, & Bally's) and by far Bally's is a favorite in terms of rooms. I actually prefer to gamble at the Q but won't stay there until they upgrade.

I thought about Rio but I don't want to rent a car. That is a deal breaker for me.

I've maybe gambled $100 total in CET properties in the last 10 years. So I have no history.

Good point on the Bally's location. Based on everyone's input, I think I'll book 2 nights at Bally's and switch over to MC/NYNY.
