First, a big thank you to all those that contribute to this board as I'm a longtime lurker and have learned a TON of valuable information.

My question is for those that frequent the dice tables at (all) the LV CET properties. Bases on your experience, what type of RCs might one accumulate with a $60 spread (AVG) over a 4-hour session? Just curious to what others receive who play at/around that amount (AVG + length.)

    Some notes:
    - I do not play for comps,
    - I realize that upfront room offers are to be had with CET/TR, which is why I'm curious regarding RCs, specifically,
    - From a planning prospective, I'm more interested in maximizing RCs for food...maybe a small meal or two per day, even if just discounted with the use of limited RCs,

Thank you in advance for any experiences you might share and, again, I appreciate the wealth of knowledge I've gained via this board's posts.

Just realized that I forgot to mention that the $60 spread *does not* include odds.

I wouldn't count on too many rc's from craps. I took 2 trips in January I gambled about 12 hours in Vegas at about $125 average and I gambled about 6 to 8 hours in Tunica at about the same avg bet. I looked at my January Total rewards estatement and I earned 6262 rc

That sounds about right. I think I get rated better, and get better comps in tunica.

In Vegas I only get RC's but in Tunica I also get comps from my Host and don't have to use RC's

I think you are going to be lucky to be getting $10/day in RCs and I think that might even be high.

If you are paying for your room, I would suggest seeing if you can get anything taken off at the end of your trip. I think that is more likely than getting enough RCs to do anything.

I would not count on a lot of comps or RCs.
I also am a craps player and finally left CET for MGM due to the lack of comps for my play.

I would expect about 4-500 RCs for that play ($4-5). That play is not high enough to see any discretionary comps but is enough to generate offers of some sort for future visits, probably future comp rooms everywhere but CP. The RCs just do not amount to anything for table players. Understand that the comp value from CET comes in the upfront offer.

yea, comps are way better in tunica. If you even think about playing craps they will comp you a buffet!

Thank you everyone for your responses. Much appreciated.

Nittany1 - Based on information I've read via the interwebs, much of which came from this board, I've learned that Mlife is the way to go, for table players, *once* you reach a certain threshold. My primary reasons for patronizing CET properties are A) the free or heavily discounted rooms, and B) I can drive a 2-3 hours in multiple directions and hit a CET/TR property. (Actually, I've never once played in at a MGMr/Mlife property.) I've assumed that my play, at MGMr properties, would not bring the overall value that I would get a CET (meaning: the cost saved at CET on rooms > food via ECs at MGMr props...using rack rate vs. full restaurant costs as my basis there.) Of course, I know I assume I could be completely wrong there and other table players, at or around my play level, might actually find more overall "value" at MGMr properties. Would love to hear from folks if that's the case.

    Thanks again, everyone.

If you're going to be a table games Mlife player then you need to be a $25 a hand or better player.

    $25 in what, though?

That can't apply to every table game, because the house edge variables

$25 a hand in craps, without odds, is not going to earn same (RC's/TC's/Comps) as $25 a hand BJ or $25 a hand mini-bac

$25 pass line bet isn't much difference than a $25 bj bet house edge wise. Some of the carnival games may be rated at a lower amount since there are usually multiple bets to make. Ultimate Texas Holden, 3 card poker. Etc.

What bets on the craps table get rated for comps? I know the pass line does and the odds don't but what about the other wagers like the proposition bets, place bets, hard ways, C&E etc. ?

Everything on the table except for the odds are rated. $10 pass plus $40 outside plus $1 on each hardway would be $54.

At one time, CET included odds bets in their ratings, which was an advantage over MGM. However, that is no longer the case. But I agree with some of the posters - if you bet $10-15 bets at MGM properties, expect the table games supervisor to rate you very low, or not at all. One told me he wouldn't rate me for $30 in action (plus $60 odds) per shooter.

I understand your point about TR casinos in your area.
I'm in a similar position in that I have 5 CET casinos within 3 hours.

I still frequent them when not going to Las Vegas.

What turned me off in Las Vegas was playing at a pretty high rate at both Caesars and Paris and being undercomped(at least in my opinion)

What I found was I receive a much bigger bang for my buck at MGM casinos.
I get suites comped Aria and CET wants me to pay for Augustus Tower rooms at Caesars.
Anyway, best of luck and hope you get the comps you deserve.

I play at both CET and MGM properties and CET definitely provides more comps with less play than MGM. It took a ton of play with MGM to get a room, while I barely played at all the last time I went to a CET resort and I have tons of offers and other comps.

I would say that MGM has higher quality casino hotels (and superior entertainment options beyond gaming), but CET is a much better value.

I feel the same way Nittany1 does. My wife and I give both TR and Mlife about the same action but our offers are much better from MLife than TR. We like to go for 6 nights staying 3 nights at Bellagio and 3 nights at Caesars. We are going back in May and have 3 free nights at Bellagio plus $100 resort credit and $75 in free play. After checking my offers online and calling the best I can do at Caesars so far is a 20% room discount and nothing else. My wife and I are both Gold with Mlife and Platinum with TR so you would think we would be able to do better than we are at TR. Our offers were the same way in Sept., 3 free nights at Bellagio and had to pay for Caesars. I play both table games and slots and my wife is primarily a slot player.:rolleyes2:
