I booked my four day room at Ballys for superbowl weekend last month. Fully comped because I use a Total Rewards visa card. Get points and free rooms.

Today I went on the CET site, logged in and checked room rates for the same room and same days. It would now cost me $390?
    What changed in 30 days?
Same thing happened last year for SB weekend.

Other people book rooms they start to fill up so prices go up for the remaining room . It's supply and demand.

This is why I always book my vacations early. We booked our August trip in March this year and only one time have prices dropped and I called and finagled my way into the a better room for a cheaper price. Now, its running for almost $200 more than what we paid. Same for airfare, we paid $270 a person and it's now at $400.

Because you have a reservation booked during those dates it will no longer shoe them as free / comped (unless you cancel that res). The calender only allows 1 comp during the same dates.

It will go up, down, back up and all around. That is just how it works, the room prices are very fluid. In example for my Sept trip I am comped 5 nights at Flamingo, I am booked but on the calendar it has gone from comp to pay to come and all in between.

Sorry, you must be new at traveling. Room rates (reduced or comped) change constantly. Sometimes within a few hours.

These deals are based on many factors including ADT, conventions, events like superbowl, bookings, availability, etc.

When they start getting full, the go up. Just like normal hotels, airlines, etc.

I agree with mrstealth...in previous years with comped rooms I could still play around with the calendar after I booked. I noticed in the past year/6 months that it doesn't let you do that anymore. Once you book it doesn't show the comps for that hotel during those dates anymore.

Thats what happened when we went in april, we booked in january I think it was and got our rooms at Ballys for tuesday and wed night for $69 a night, checked it again later and price had tripled to $210 a night. Thought that was crazy for a sun-thurs rate, but when we got there we realized Cinema Con was in town.
