Now that the season is dieing down, has anyone stayed at a CET hotel and entered another CET pool? Im wondering if they are checking keys still? Did they actually scan them?

Im booked for IP end of month :( that was the cheapest by far........might do that living social deal for 2 days at hooters to get a decent pool.

I know hooter's doesn't check room keys. My brother said there is open access to the locker room and he is under the impression that non-hotel guests are welcome. They may well be since they operate a tiki bar outside and have poolside access to the restaurant. Last time I stayed there the jacuzzi bleached all of the color out of my trunks.

but at that time they let you go from one hotel pool to another, they have now stopped that.you can only use the hotel pool you are staying at now

Lame. Seems like a way to throw away revenue. Now I'm forced to stay at the home casino's pool instead of going to Caesars and playing blackjack and buying $13 margaritas at the pool.

We went through all this awhile back and it opened a huge can of worms, but I have IP as a "like" on my Facebook, merely becuse I stayed there last year. They put on their FB page any guest of any CET property can use a sister properties pool, that is right from the horses mouth. This was a couple months ago.

Found the post off Imperial Palaces Facebook page:

Did you know that your room key gives you access to our sister resorts' pools? Make a splash in Vegas and pool hop at any of our 7 pools, like Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood or Flamingo!

That is a cut n paste right off their page.

But you still have to pay an entrance fee for some of those (yes/no) if they are not your home base?

We stayed at the flamingo in Aug. Went to Caesars pool 2 or 3 times. Caesars pool people said the pool is public. No key checking at all. We even charged our (expensive) drinks to our room at the Flamingo

Was there in late August and went to pools at Bally's and PH and no keys were checked. Same story at the Cosmopolitan pool, no key check.

Stupid question, but why don't you just buy a keycard to the pool you want to use on eBay? Plenty of people sell the ones that they take home as souvenirs. Just pick one up to Caesars or Wynn or wherever that way when you walk by, you can just flash the key?

so maybe they have relaxed this policy then....I asked because flamingo during the summer was checking keys with a scanner and people got turned away......I have keys for them all :)

I always wondered though if flashing an older key would cause a problem....lol. but ya flamingo, ceasers and paris are my pools by choice :)

Funny you asked this question. I was in Vegas Labor Day weekend and stayed off-strip. I was dying to get to a happening pool, so I went to the Caesar Palace Pool intending to pay for the Venus pool, but as it turns out I as I hit the door to the pool I was talking on my cell phone and walked right in to the pool area.

Still I didn't have any of those great towels they hand out when you show your key. So after I finished my phone call I walked back in to the desk where they hand out towels and asked if I could have extra towels.

Two towels on a lounge and surrounded by pretty French girls - things could be worse.

    Cheers,

    Cosmo

How do you know the keys are current enough to get you in? I would have to imagine they change designs pretty frequently.

You don't, but for a couple dollars that's the risk you take. I can't imagine that they change that often.

buying keys will only work if they dont scan them.flamingo always scans ,harrahs no and the rest is hit or miss ,sometimes you can just show your room key and your fine.

hardrock changes keys all the times
    palms doesnt
Venetian /palzo change all the time
and most cet properties changed there keys with in the last year.
ph and paris had there nite club on theres for a while then switched back to a picture of the hotel.
