Every time I go to horseshoe In Cleveland I see people give the cocktail waitress their diamond cards and the waitress writes down the tr #. I was trying to see what benefits that gets them. Any information would be appreciated.

This is just a guess, but Horseshoe Cleveland cannot serve free liquor due to state laws. However their Diamond lounge does serve drinks "at cost", ie $2-$3. Its possible Diamond and above can get drinks on the floor "at cost" as well by providing their card.

It may be that they want the points for the drink purchase. Also, it may be something like the beer special they had at the Horseshoe here last fall where you show your players card and get very cheap beer.
