    CET Great Gift Wrap Up

With the cost of the $100 gift cards going up to 35,000 points I was looking trough the cost of other items. In years past I have noticed the cost of items compared to the gift cards a bad value. This year when calculating the value of items to the gift cardssome of the items are a better value.

Some examples using the rate of 35,000 to $100 (the cost of the $100 gift cards):

    Titleist
    42,200 points
    SKU #51409GW
    Model #33364K
Titleist Pro V1x Golf Balls, 3 dozen

On line these are about $50 per dozen
At GGWU they are (42,200/35,000=1.2) or $120 for 3 dozen

    Dyson
    166,800 points
    SKU #51586GW
    Model #205473-01
    Dyson DC65 Animal Complete

On line this is about $600
At GGWU they are (166,800/35,000=4.77) or $477

Even if it is not the animal version as stated the DC65 is $500 online and $477 is still a good value.

    GoPro
    82,700 points
    SKU #50324GW
    Model #CHDHN-302
    GoPro HERO3+ Silver Edition Camcorder

On line this is about $300
At GGWU they are (82,700/35,000=2.36) or $236

    Tumi
    172,400 points
    SKU #51042GW
    Model #28129TG
Tumi Tegra-Lite Extended Trip Packing Case, Graphite

On line this lists for $895 but can be found for about $600
At GGWU they are (172,400/35,000=4.93) or $493

Another option it cashing in points for free play but it doesn't look like we will know the conversion rate until the first event. Or if they will be converting this year. Last year it was 30,000 points per $100 of free play.

I was going to cash in most of my points for the Shell gift cards, but now I think I might have to do some shopping.

Some of the values are not terrible.

Video games are now $70 here in Canada. You can get one at this event for 20,000

I really have my eye on this high tech toaster that has four slots and a countdown timer. I forget how many points it was, I want to say 25,000 or 30,000, but I want it haha

$100 for 30,000 would be tempting as well. I only have 18,500 but I'm sure since I'm there from November 6-10, getting to 30,000 shouldn't be hard

I inquired about using points for freeplay. Your 30,000 per $100 is correct.
