Has anyone noticed the difference you get in perks if you reach the 40,000 or 80,000 Diamond levels over the regular Diamond level of 15,000 tier credits? If so, what is it? I reached the 40,000 Diamond level last year, and I don't see any difference than what I got previous years when 11,000 tier credits was Diamond, and there were no bonus tier credits. If anything, it got worse.

At 40,000 you get a free four night stay, $100 folio credit, and a ride on High Roller Experience.

At 80,000 you get an annual retreat, $750 in airfare credit, NYE offer, VIP transportation to and from airport, companion card, and reimbursed check fees.

I always thought it was odd that at 40,000 tier credits, you get 4 free nights. If you are at 40,000, you probably play at a level that you would get that anyways.

There is value at 80,000 tier credits. In my opinion, they should add an additional tier between 80,000 and 7 stars at 150,000.

I always got free stay in a strip view room for however long I stayed. I've gone anywhere from two to five nights around six times a year. I did notice I'm able to get tickets to the High Roller, but since it is new, I didn't know it was because I had 40,000 points. I never knew anything about the $100 folio credit. I'm assuming it is like a $100 resort credit I can use toward CET dining and gift shops. If that's what it is, I never took advantage of it this year. I always used the free-play I got during the monthly offers which I think is something different.

The high roller tickets are new this year at 40,000 as is the $100 folio credit.
BUT since as a diamond you can get 2 free High roller tickets a month, it doesn't seem like much of a perk.

I'm thinking that once I get Diamond at the CET properties, I might go for Gold on M Life. My play won't get me to Platinum on M Life after I get Diamond on Total Rewards. I won't reach Seven Stars and its perks, but Gold on M Life will add to perks at the MGM properties where extra points after Diamond on Total Rewards doesn't add much.

    Reminder:
Comps and offers are based on ADT, not your tier level. A lower level Diamond may get better offers than a higher level.

That's why I'm thinking of not adding to my tier credits after reaching Diamond, and go for Gold on M Life once this happens. I think the perks I get on M Life Gold is worth much more than any additional perks I get for going beyond the Diamond tier level minimum.

The perks are listed on both the CET and MLIFE sites for each tier level. Very clear what you get (or don't get)

    Offers/comps are separate.

Once I reach Diamond there is no incentive for me to accumulate points beyond that on a succeeding trip. I would only go above it if it's on the same trip to make sure my ADT doesn't drop. On the next trip I should just accumulate points until I reach the minimum points for the tier-level attainable for me at another property. My ADT is consistent year-round at a comfortable level, and I won't change it for the sake of added comps. But my question isn't about offers or comps; it's about whether it would be better for me to switch properties once I reach a minimum number of points for a particular tier-level, and what might be the drawback.

My question is, once you get that 15k TC for Diamond, and you return to Vegas, you'll either need to completely avoid CET (in order to not mess with your ADT) or continue to play the exact same, to maintain your ADT...
So what do you do? If you continue to play the same, in effect youre watering down the value.
Its best to equality divide your play over the numbers of trips to CET per year (IE: Ten trips with 15k TC each, which is what were doing in 2015

Have you added in the "value" of playing where you LIKE to play, stay or eat?

I can get better comps from CET, but I like MGM better for most stuff. We each have what works for us.

The above comments are exactly what I have to consider. Thanx for the inputs! I typically put around 9k to 10k TCs per trip at CET for 6 trips per year. And it's true that where I like to play has to be a big part of my decision, and I didn't even think about that before.

BTW, I mostly play at CET properties. The only times I played at non-CET properties are when I meet with friends who play at other properties. If I did start to play at MGM properties, I would play there exclusively during the trip to not dilute my ADT at either property.

But if you STAY at a CET property..the moment you check-in, your Trip Theo starts ticking..you may get away with ZERO play once (I think they give you one or two ZERO play trips as a grace period) but if you do it frequently, you're fucked.
So if you're going to go that route, that one or two trips, play HARD at MLife property, so you can get comped rooms at MLife so you can stay/play there next time.

Ok here is a reason why Diamond level 1 has some value to us.

We play heavy at a local Horseshoe. We go to Vegas and stiff them every time (nothing to play!). At level one we get another chance to stay in Caesars on the Strip while playing elsewhere.

    That has some value.

Diamond level 1 gives you 4 nights at any CET property. Do you only go to Vegas once a year with that perk and you're not concerned about your Vegas ADT/theo and future offers?

Exactly. That's why whichever property I decide to stay at for that trip, I would exclusively play at that group of properties for that entire trip.

ADT in Vegas is zero. Nada. NEVER play. ADT elsewhere is very healthy (average $25K a day). This benefit gives us rooms in Vegas where we normally could not get them despite 40,000 tier points.

Probably done 10 straight trips over 3 or 4 years with zero play in Vegas.

Somewhat similar. Play much heavier elsewhere, but low play Vegas at CET - we like MGM hotels and casinos better. But, we always take the free rooms in Vegas, and some offer.s
