At CET properties, I typically only play VP on the floor at Planet Hollywood, $0.25 to $1 7/5 Bonus Poker. As many have discussed here, CET ain't known for their stellar VP offerings and I have a hard time dipping below a 98% return which has pretty much kept me away from the bar tops at the various properties. Having said that, I've noticed that, on occasion, I endure a little play on a lower % game when I genuinely enjoy the bartenders, drinks, and atmosphere. I used to swear I'd never do that but, I'm over beating myself up about it when it happens. Yes, the man is winning.

So, following all of that blather, I guess my question is, is there a VP bar at one of the CET properties that you enjoy for the service, atmosphere, etc. regardless of the paytables? I've only played at a couple briefly over the years and there were no standouts but most remain virgin territory for me.

I know there is a lot of IP haters out there, but I love playing at the Ginza bar.(If its still there?)
It's in the back near the escalators up to HHAGG.
A couple of machines have 10/6 Aces Bonus. More importantly, it's quiet and has great service. Whenever I go there by the 2nd or 3rd time there the bartender has a drink in front of me before I even put money in the machine!
Take care of them, and they take care of you. An added bonus, it's right near the restrooms.

I always have a blast at Bugsy's bar in Flamingo. And I've walked away a winner 3 out of my last 4 times there.

Both of the Bar's at Bally's offer great service (and people watching). Bugsy's bar at Flamingo is awesome, but watch out for the "working girls" at night/early morning, they get fairly aggressive. There are several other bars in Flamingo as well, but the service can go either way, sometimes great, sometimes not so great.

Caesars palace has 2 great bars - 1 is by the sports book the other is what I call the "mermaid" or sea shell bar, along the main walkway just before the pussy cat dolls pit.

Just tip $1 (at least) per drink and you will have a great time.

I'd have to go with Bugsy's at Flamingo and Sully's at Ballys.

My favorite spot is at Caesars at the sportsbook bar. The bartenders are awesome and always remember me when I show up. I go about 4 times a year. I would say in the last few years I am easily up about $1k there playing .25 DDB. It's great for me because I bet sports and get to play my VP DDB at the same time!

My second favorite spot is at the heart bar at PH. Sadly I don't go there often because I don't like gambling there but the eye candy at night is awesome!

Mainly my decision on playing VP at any property is the atmosphere (drinks, music, girls, etc.) and how lucky I am feeling at that point. I always go back to spots I hit most at (Caesars).

    Good Luck!

One more thing regarding drink service. Tip at least a buck a drink. When I hit big i tip at least another $20 when I leave, call the bartender by name and let him/her know that I will be back later for some more. They remember you and always hook you up in the future!
