DH and I are going to Vegas in Aug. The last 3 trips he's been on business and I tagged along. We really didn't have time to see a big show. Should we see Celine or a cirque show? DH likes Celine but not half as much as I do.

I have a strong suspicion he said that for me, because after we laughed over your response he said "I said I liked her - for you". I'm quick like that.

I'd watch the drunks on the Strip [redacted] before I'd watch Celine Dion, so there's my vote. Go see Love, which has real music. :D

I don't even like Celine, yet I really liked her show. Neither of you will hate it. Ka is my favorite CdS show (and my favorite Vegas show), so I recommend that one if you go that route.

I would recommend Celine mainly because you say you like her so much. She only performs sporadically, and there might come a time where she leaves Vegas again and you won't be able to see her.

There is no shortage of Cirque shows and tickets are relatively easy to get for whatever show you choose. You can always do Cirque next time.

I haven't seen Celine, but judging the Cirque shows I've seen... I'd much rather see her.

The Celine show is really good, HOWEVER, she is better known for the shows she cancels than actually performs. I held tickets to FOUR of her shows before I actually got to see her, she cancelled (at the last minute) on 3 of those 4 shows.

I'd go for a Cirque show, at least they will show up and start on time.

    Thanks

Thanks everyone. I'm leaning towards mystere and my hubby wants KA, but I've read many reviews of KA where people have fallen asleep. I think we will try for Carrot Top too.

Hmmm, I'd watch them before seeing Mystere! I took my son to see Mystere as his big treat as a teen on his first trip to LV (my kids are all big into theater). We both fell asleep. I felt so bad, I took him to Boston to see Spamalot! Go see Celine!
