    Hola Amigos.

This will be the seventeenth consecutive Super Bowl trek out to the nerve center of these United States.

My nerve center is usually completely destroyed by the time the actual game starts, but I’ll update this a couple / three times a day and let all of you compassionate, concerned folks know how things are going.

Now listen up and listen real good. Rumor around this forum has it that the hot shots of the board are showing up and will be doing their reports that get 11,000 replies / 14,482,000 views.

    I will not be intimidated.

I’m not going to be posting pictures of piles of purple chips (mainly because I never win those, but I would if I did…believe you me), dinner bill receipts in the thousands, glasses of Cabernet, cucumbers wrapped with Glad saran wrap (and bodily fluids dripping from all angles), or any Theo reports.

Instead, I’ll be posting pictures of the common man (McRibs, venues never given their just due, pretty girls/skanks when they’re looking in the opposite direction, drunkards, losing tickets from the Sportsbook…hey, I’ll attach my first one since those bastards didn’t come through for me…. YET AGAIN! That’s fifteen out of sixteen years making this bet, Packers!).

I emptied out my piggy bank for multiple thousands to bring along.

El Cortez downtown for two nights. I will visit my Confidantes of Clark County over at the Palomino Club the first night. Those ladies are always willing to listen to my problems, regardless of whether I’m pulling tens, twenties or Benjy’s out of my Fossil brand wallet. They care. Adoration to human ATM’s.

If you can’t talk to Sierra, Asia or Heavenleigh about what ails you, ain’t nobody on this earth you can, capiche!?!

Two Bedroom Penthouse @ Vdara FRI – SUN.

The Mirage offered me a couple of free nights and a hundred bones in resort credit starting on MON, so I’ll go over there and probably just pass out after buying $100 worth of corned beef & Advil.

I’m delivered to McCarran on a gurney sometime around 5:30 AM TUE 2/9 (unless I decide to stay a little longer, which is a possibility).

Although six days almost certainly guarantees I won’t win a damn thing, I can go home a winner with the support of you, the community of The Las Vegas Messaging Board system.

Karen Carpenter and her odd brother once said:

“Before the risin’ sun, we fly
    So many roads to choose
We'll start out walkin' and learn to run
    And yes, we've just begun”

Thanks for reading along and ‘Adios, Amigos!’

    Hell Yea!

I have always wanted to go to Palamino's but can never talk people into going out there.
I am on a solo trip this time but everything I read said its in a "Seedy" area and that just does not sound smart when you are solo.

Well, it's North Las Vegas and it's all pretty seedy (in general), BUT...you're not going to have any problems down there.

I go solo all the time, hang out across the street at Jerry's Nugget Casino a little before/a little after, and have never been shanked once.

I will say that last year on one of my treks, there was a midweek plethora of conventions happening and cabs were scarce across town. The young vixen working the box office called me a cab but I was outside waiting for about thirty minutes. I said to myself (intoxicated, of course), "F this, I'm walking back to Fremont."

I could see it up yonder across the way, there.

I got three blocks and a cop pulled over and gave me a ride. His exact quote: "You don't want to be doing this down here."

Don't let the LVMPD scare you, though....it's really not bad and nothing will happen to you (I don't think).
