Hubby and I are going to Puerto Rico in 2 weeks for a nice long 10 day vacation.

Anybody ever go to any of the casinos there? Any luck? This is a non gambling trip but last 2 nights we will be in Condado area near a couple casinos!!! Might decide to check them out!

    Hi OMO32---
I've been to many of them, stayed at a few, (Condado District and Isla Verde area) never come out a winner.
They sweat the money like nowhere I've ever seen.
Play low, don't expect any meaningful comps.
These casinos are just for the tourists, not gamblers, and they don't try to develop long-term customer relationships.
    Best of luck!

I traveled to Puerto Rico a few years ago, and played at a few casinos. They were nice, along the lines of a nice "locals" casino.
Played mostly BJ and Roulette, as I did not trust the slots... they seemed really tight!
But, in the evening, after a day at the beach, or touring around, it was a fun activity to do for an hour or so while enjoying a drink.
(Although- I do not recall if the drinks were comped)

I have stayed and played at the El San Juan and Ritz Carlton in the Isla Verde area. Both are small by Vegas standards but pretty nice.
You have to be a little more dressed up in the evening.
The Marriott is in the Condado district and has a busy casino.

Thank you!!!! Last trip to Puerto Rico was with kids so we didn't go inside the casinos... This time we might. However, we decided to change reservations and are now staying in old San Juan instead of Condado so probably won't go at all
