    Are these local casinos that you apply for consider the hiring not based off job history but more on credit history?

    No, they will consider you based on job history BUT if it is a position that has anything to do with money handling, they will run a credit check on you. It varies from casino to casino on what they will accept in your credit history. Just last year, I remember a story about one casino relaxing its standards and allowing foreclosures on record but others have not. As a former banker, high unsecured debt is always a concern when hiring.

    That's right... Credit history means very little. If it did they wouldn't be able to employ the majority of the staff that exists today. I'd even say personality and flexibility is more important than prior experience.

    they care about credit history when it may indicate that you might end up in a bind one day soon and resort to theft to try to solve it.
