My local CET casino has recently adopted a policy of requesting a players card for every single transaction made at the cage. I can understand it when they are cashing in high denomination chips, etc. but seriously this is for EVERY transaction. Most of the cashiers have admitted they hate having to ask, but this is a new rule....they MUST ask. However, they also have told me that I can just say no, then they just go ahead with whatever transaction is being made. So you don't HAVE to show it, but they must request it. I was speaking to a supervisor about this change in policy and she advised that they are being "trained" or "programmed" into the habit of asking for the players card for a "future development".....but she wouldn't elaborate. Just wondering if all CET casinos are now doing this or is it an isolated case? Anyone know what's going on, or is it simply a matter of big brother watching?
