Does anyone know how this promo/offer works? I got an invite to it but don't have a clue what the format is.

If it's the same as they used to do at the local Harrah's here, if you were the lucky one you got to spend something like 30 seconds or 1 minute in this glass booth which had fake bills blown all around in it. The husband of a friend got this and we watched him try to grab the bills which he said was much harder than it looked. they took the bills and gave him slot play for what he grabbed.

I have HEARD you prepare when dressing....wear a loose shirt or sweatshirt.

While the money is being blown around you open the bottom of your shirt (don't lift it) and let the money "fly up" inside and against your body. If you pull it forward from your waist it is snug in the backside. It will not easily escape around the neck and you merely "trap" as much of the blown bills as possible until the blower is turned off.

I don't think the rules say catch in your hand.....I believe you get to keep all the money your can "grab".....once the wind is off you retrieve the trapped bills as they return to the waist area within the shirt.....

Now you just have to be selected.....

I attended a cash grab at sam's town last year and it was nothing like what was described in previous posts.
you were given a number when entering the room..drawing tickets?? as the numbers were drawn you went to a table with a LOT of identical caps (leftover NASCAR sam's town 300 logos). you picked out a cap and underneath was a sticker saying how much you had won.
most payouts were in the $25-$50 range. believe the top prize was $500. maybe 200 people in the ballroom, but everyone was allowed to bring a guest and have some free ice cream.
it was OK. didn't take up much of your time, but hardly worth going out of your way to attend, unless it happened to fall during a time you were planning a trip.

Oldaquaman's description is right on. Ms. Gecko and I have attended a few cash grabs and they were definitely worth the 45 min. or so, especially since the offers included 3 free nights. Between us, we got $25, $50, $75, and $100 prizes. It's as close you'll ever get to a cakewalk in a casino. Besides, we liked the ice cream!

The past couple posters are right. I was there in December. Lowest prize was 40 doolars and top was 750. Everyone wins something. Plus you have an ice cream social before the draw. The whole thing takes an hour or less. They call your number and you draw for your prize.

The best part is you get 3 free nights and 11x points on slots and 7x on video poker. I will return for one in April. They explain it all when you check in to hotel.

It is an offer you get in the mail. If you give Sams some playtime you "might" get mailed a cash grab.

I get about 6 a year and yet my wife has never gotten the offer.
