Arriving from United - so guessing term 3 ? Car rented from advantage because they were the cheapest, lol. But I have read that returning the car is a big pain. Something like go to term 1 then tram to 3. Our flight is at 7 am so I don't want to be so stressed about missing my flight. I could rent somewhere close to casino for 2 days - and return day before we leave....any advise or thoughts ? :rolleyes2:

Have you priced any places outside the airport? Taxes are greatly reduced off airport, so that may be a start.

advantage is prolly pretty cheap. we booked them trip before last. the only downside to advantage is the check people are PUSHY. They make you feel stupid for renting without taking their insurance. I ALMOST made a stink about and asked for their supervisor but figured they were prolly trained by the same moron and thats how they get paid so I left it alone. We just dropped car and left keys in car I believe or maybe we threw em in the box. We delivered outside of business hours so we didnt see anyone to check out.

budget has got good rates, and you can drop off on the strip and take a cab to airpot that morning tell cab to take spring valley road and your at airport in 10 minutes at your airline, most rental companies have places on the strip.

All the rental car returns (apart from Fox and other off-site places) are at the consolidated rental car center. Once you return the car, you just catch a shuttle to terminal 1 or terminal 3. Both are direct shuttles, no muss, no fuss.

The only issue is if they rental company tries to screw you with mythical damage claims.

I've done Advantage many times and it's never a hassle returning it. Just drop it off and take the shuttle back to your plane. IIRC they now have shuttles from the RAC to Term 3. Last time they had a guy out there directing people to the correct one.

Just came back from LV. I fly Hawaiian Air so I go to T3. Just be aware that there are a LOT FEWER Terminal 3 buses than Terminal 1 buses from the RAC station. At 3:15 pm I had to wait 7 minutes for a T3 bus while there were at least 6 T1 buses.

The line at TSA was short and efficient. The escalators to the tram are just past TSA - go down 2 floors or take the elevator. Walk about 1 minute and you're at the tram station. The tram takes about a minute to reach the D gates - seriously, you can see the other platform and think "I could've walked it".

    Hopes this helps.

Also, while I noticed that United had a couple of planes at T3, the remainder of flights go out via Gate D. Their check-in and baggage claim is out of T3.
